Quick question.

If Tsu'tey is the son of Ateyo & Neytiri the daughter of Mo'at and they are later to be a "promised" pairing then, presumably the same having been true of Ateyo & Mo'at doesn't that mean a long line of incestuous marriages within the Omatikaya clan?

Ateyo wasn't the leader, Eytukan was, and it was him who was mated with Mo'at. So no.

We're not really sure how the next olo'eyktan is chosen but that seems to be the consensus.

there was never any mention of status besides Mo'at and Olo'eyktan. at least from what I can recall. Dr. Augustine just mentioned that Tsu'tey and Neytiri were to be mated to become the next Mo'at and Olo'eyktan...

Well he was quite cool ... especially when he finally realised Jake wasn't a bad guy! He took out many enemy combatants ... I only wish Chacon's death hadn't been so pointless.

He also has a great voice, even though he was an arsehole at the start. It was probably the voice that did it.

Actually, I really LIKE Tsu'tey! Right after Jake! But you're right; Tsu'tey's voice is first for me!!! He was a very brave tsamsiyu, and at the beginning he just wanted to protect the People, he didn't trust Jake, that's all. And anyway, noone is happy when his wife-to-be is taken away from him...

but didn't they spend almost their entire lives growing up and expecting to be married eventually? I'd be pretty angry too if all of a sudden, a dreamwalker comes in and takes her away and taken his status away as Olo'eyktan right?

just want to clarify here... this kinda threw me... Mo'at is the person's name, not her title. her title is tsahik(i not EXACTLY sure on the spelling) so should would become the tsahik, no the next mo'at.

According to the LN dictionary it's tsahìk (with the accented i).

Mllte. At first I also had my doubts about Tsu'tey, but as the movie went on I really started to like and appreciate him. After all, his behaviour must be based on him getting ready to be the next olo'eyktan. I think his character and mindset resemble that of Neytiri's sempul, Eytukan. They are both set to do the best for the clan. Which makes sense.
