this may be Jake Sully's speech for the protection of Pandora but i think it stands true for our earth.  we still have a chance to try and fix what our species has done.  i found this video and i thought it went well that i should share it with you.

Speaking of quotes, here's another, right from Grace Augustine

QuoteThe beauty of this world isn't in the ground, it's all around us.

It's as if all the answers have been with us, right from the start of humankind.  We just needed to find and see them.  Slä ayoe ke kolamänge at some point....

Well, the word religion might be related to religare, "to bind," and Carl Sagan always seems to use "religion" in that sense. So couldn't tsaheylu be the same thing as "religion"?

interesting thing, im not oftly religious, I am however free minded, and I think it mentions in Revelations about the mark of the beast, and how some will have it, and the ones that don't get it will be controlled by some other means.  and then it goes to mention those that basically repent will get saved.  Yet I see that it doesn't account for the will of one person or a group.  I look at it as those that have a pure mind that exist outside the dark influences that is pervasive nearly everywhere---ie, those that are grounded, in touch with reality, will greatly increase their chances of survival.  The web of life exists all around us.  I regard myself as a primal healer, working at the simplest level  (it is by nature chaotic).

Interesting thought... I could see that tsaheylu is a physical expression of a (in that way) religious experience. Like yogic flying is a physical expression of a meditative experience.

Once you achieve the right mindset, you can employ/deploy that in the physical world.

Irayo. Food for thought...

As corny as it sounds, this discussion reminds me of a phrase often used by punk band minor threat: flex your head. Like, if all of us (humanity in general) were to use our brains and think for ourselves and think for the sake of the planet, we might be able to reverse the damage done.

Yes, it is a magnificent video. I posted it on my weblog and also on my website. The more people that see it, the more awareness we create.

Why would this be corny if it is the truth? Too many Skypeople are walking around with their brain shut down. They just go along, they don't see, they don't feel. Yes. Flex your head, shake up the grey matter inside, make the shells fall from your menari. And dare to face what is happening instead of hiding behind a newspaper or a television, shaking your head at the injustice and then zapping to the next advertisment for Bud Light or so.

what can we go to change this?

you can lead a direhorse to the water, however you cannot make them drink.  all we can do is try to inform people, and do what we can to protect our Mother.  we cannot force them to change.

Technically, no. Tsaheylu, literally translated, means 'the bond'. Religare means 'to bind' as you said, and since the two words mean two vastly different things, no, you can't say tsaheylu is the same as religion.
