Anyway I was watching Avatar for the 1000 time! and I suddenly noticed a massive mistake

As I know all species on planets that are in their groups like mammals, Amphibians, etc have the same basic body structure but in avatar the Na'vi are missing one of these key points

If we take a look at mammals like the Viper-wolves, the monkey things (forgot what Grace calls them) and all the others we see they all have that basic body style along with 6 legs however the Na'vi only have 2 legs and their arms making it 4 limbs so... they're missing 2 limbs and there are no signs of the evolution where they once had those 2 other limbs

Maybe I've not explained it well but I hope you understand the point I'm making. If we look at the species on Earth and again I use mammals as the example you will notice all the body parts are present and in cases like Humans that don't have a Tail, the Tail bone is still present and in some cases you can even see the little dip from where it used to be.

The way all species are formed from what I can tell is each species of a group is blueprinted from where they came from like Humans was blueprinted from Monkey's/Apes

Hope it makes sense and I hope I'm not the only one to notice this otherwise I be sitting in my own topic alone :p

I think, to have six legs wasn't necessary for the Na'vi. A Prolemuris (those monkeys) have six legs; four to hold on the branches and two other for collecting foods.
Like on earth, most of humanoid primates have no tail (humans, gorillas, chimpanzee, Orang Utan...) because they don't need a tail anymore.
Evolution do a lot of exceptions.

And BTW:
The Prolemuris hasn't *really* six legs...

Each part of which ends in a 'hand' with just two fingers, implying that this is one limb that has evolved into this half split arrangement, not two limbs that have partially fused.

Plus Na'vi are not the only true four limb creature, Ikran also only has four.
