I was watching Avatar with my friend, let's call her skxawng, and I was enjoying myself right up untill skxawng comments on Neytiri crying after the tawtute knock over the pink ancestor-speaking-trees. Skxawng was all like "omg calm down, their just trees" and my face had the expression of a palulukan who just got a face full of silly string. I'm glad I had such self control, cause things could have gotten real ugly real fast

Yeah, I then went on to explain in depth the extreme importance of the Ultral aymokriyä to Skxawng, and I think she now knows to never share crappy opinions around us blue skins. Just one more reason an educated world is a better world

I don't watch Avatar with ayskxawng/NARFs - never have, never will. A large part of this is not just the possibility of them spoiling it for me, but also their reaction to my reactions, so to speak.

It's weird cause my skxawng actually SUGGESTED watching Avatar, I stopped the movie and suggested we do something else right as the Dragon was flying to destroy Kelutral. I figured she would say "lol look at how moat cries" or "OMFG I could so have broken the windows of that spaceship" (referring to web the na'vi were shooting at the dragon before any missiles were launched). And I then would have whistled for my Ikran to fly over and eat poor, misinformed skxawng.

I already watched Avatar several times with people not related to it and never had issues, even watched it with people not appreciating it before having seen it, and never had big issues. We could discuss peacefully. So I think the ayskawng you had here is rather a painful exception with a rather limited capacity of thought, if not a doubtable sense of humour.
