it's kinda hard to describe how i do it....i mean it produces the same noise but i see similarities between how the na'vi hiss and how a cat hisses.  and i've learned from watching my cats hiss....i'll have to do an audio and post it sometime ^_^

There are lots of different hisses during the film, and I believe all of them are probably do-able by humans - it's just practice, putting your tongue in different positions to drastically change the sound of the hiss.

I think I got it but it would probably be easier without the overbite and gap between my front teeth.

I am not sure if that makes a difference: you make the sound in the back of your mouth.

The people at work don't respond anymore when I hiss at my computer, it just unsettles them when I do it at them

It's fun to do it when you are not paying attention to anyone. For instance when you are reading a book, watching tv or something like that. Most important is not to be afraid that people think you're nuts. We all know you aren't.

It takes a lot of self restraint not to hiss at the register at work when it's being a pain.  i know i'm a newbie...but still that thing deserves to be hissed at...but i want/need to keep my job and idk how the hissing at the register will go well XD.  (though it does happen on occassion it's just not a full out hiss.

i'm having a hard time not making my annoyed noise at work yesterday XD.  yesterday alone, two of the registers froze up on me (i did nothing i swear) then both the 1st and 2nd lanes were blown up by a rogue diet coke bottle...none of us saw that coming...then there's the coupons that wanted to give me trouble...3-11 pm shift is not a good one to annoy me with HRH.  hopefully my 2-10 pm won't be as bad HRH
