300 BILLION star systems (solar systems)
Oh, wow. Then the Alpha Centauri system better be in there. Is this released yet or is all this a pre-release fan thing, i didn't read too much into it.

We should all get together and create a massive Na'vi conlomerate to control that system. LOL.

i actually like that idea. the Avatar fans on this site and everywhere else could organize a comp. that could protect and speek for pandora and its systum. the only prblem would be to figure out who would lead us (mabey seabass i dont know.)
Deciding who would lead could very easily cause wars between the various sites of Avatar fans... Luckily, we have a language the others might not get. Tactical advantage there ;)

true but still we would have to (adult like) decide on a leader, or else our 'company' would fall apart as fast as it went up.
Or mabey we could do a council. i dont know which sounds better...
I guess that also depends on how the game works, but I agree, we definitely need to organize this well so we can keep Pandora to ourselves safe (and the rest of the system, of course)

thats why we need a systum of some sort: whenever we start leaving of the road, remember Gorge bush and the government and know why we need some type of good leadership.

If the project was small you could just do a perfect democracy system of control where anyone can propose things and anyone can vote.

Alternatively, given the inherent anonymity and slight geographical divorce of the internet, you could just go with x many people stand, people vote and the the top y many get to enter a council where each one has a number of votes equal to the number of votes they had.

Or perhaps, each of us that plays that game when it comes up draws a planet or two in the Alpha Centauri system, and whoever gets Pandora gets it.

I do like the idea of a council, but i doubt a full democracy would work, it'd take too much time with all the timezones and stuff.

This could work, but it can't just be the first one to name a planet Pandora :P and we'd need a way to know which one it really is (though that should be pretty easy if there's a planet that fits the description)

If you want a taste of the game, download the ICP.

Yeah, but it still not the game. It's only the combat part of it. Since the game as whole, is an exploration game ^^

well first we nominate several players and then we have a vote to who gets in

or we could ask seabass or whoever runs this stupid site (its not stupid just kidding) to do a sign-up sheet thing were we put our names in and (depending to the founders of the site) they would pick who would be best suited for the council job. i think there should be only 25 people or less in it. i think i should be in it cause i always stay on track with important stuff, organizing and whatnot.

i would say 7-13 members because you A) want an odd number so there can be no undecided votes and B) if there are too many then it would take a long time to reach any decision.

also I doubt seabass will have much to do with this

I like 13, its a nice evil number.

I'll try and play, but from the looks of all the stuff in the game, I'm not sure if my computer could handle the final version.

well okay this is the basis i have come up with for choosing the members of the council
1) first everyone nominates 1 person each (going for active members who are generally considerate and preferably with good abilities of taking the long view not just the short one)
2) each person with 2 or more nominations are put into the final elections
3)everybody votes. the top 13 people are the council
4) viola! one 13 member council  :D

should a member of the council be unsuitable after the vote they can be removed if 10 of the other 12 members vote to do so. they then will pick a new member going on the results of the previous election

now any thoughts?
