Hm.. I don't know if this is the correct place to ask the question I have, but I didn't find a place that's fits better...  :-\

I need to find two different trailers for Avatar (not the Extended Version) to compare them for university. It's important that they fit in the usual standard of trailers since 1960/-70 (pursuant to Hediger). So I do not need a teaser!
I have already found one trailer (3:17min). It starts with Jake opening his eyes, "Are you Jake Sully? We'd like to talk to you about a fresh start" and so on.
As every film has about three different trailers and this one is named the second one, I would really love to find the others, but on youtube I can't and either on goldentrailer.com   Everywhere there is only the teaser (about 2min long) in which they don't speak at all (only Jake says some sentences).

So, do you know where I can find the other trailers? Have you got a link for me? That would be so great!

Thank you but no. This is the teaser I talked about. :(
At least this one doesn't fit in the rules by Hediger.

:( I thought it worked since it doesn't start with "Are you Jake Sully?", like you had said.. Sad thing hihi. But what are actually those trailer standards you're referring to? :)

Ma Eichhörnchen, no it's not in my language :D :D :D (Ich bin genauso deutsch wie du;) ) And it is maybe interesting, but it's not a trailer, I'm afraid.

A trailer after 1960 (Hediger), ma Ftxavanga Txe′lan, needs to cover the following things:
-storytelling (two thirds of the whole story) until cliffhanger
-including exposition, event because of which the story exists, confrontation (until cliffhanger) and titles (title, date of release, films the author, director or director of photography made before,...)
-needs to follow the principle of "storytelling as selling" which makes you want to know how the story ends

A teaser on the contrary doesn't tell so much about the story and the coherence and connection of the information shown. And it rather leaves you with the question what this is all about instead of how the story might end.

In a trailer there is usually a voice over (of a character or some narrator) that leads you through the information the trailer gives you and it connects the parts they show you. So you will know quite well what the film will tell you in the end, but you don't know what will happen to the characters/how the main character will decide in the end/how they get out of the bad situation/whether the hero will win the fight against the beast or not/etc.

The teaser you posted more leaves questions like Who is the person shown? How did he get there? What are these blue aliens exactly? Where are they and why were they going to this place? Why do they fight against each other? All these questions would have been answered in a trailer, but not in a teaser. ;)

That's what Hediger said, at least, and my university lecturer in "editing" wants us to refer to his theories, so I can't use this teaser unfortunately.. The same about the vid Eichhörnchen posted...

I guess I need to find another film I will write about.. But Thanks for your help ma meylan :)
