Also, the Na'vi aren't the only 4-limbed "creatures" we see, there's also ikran.  They have fore-wings and hind-wings but no third set of limbs (legs), such as the fkio and toruk have.

When you say it, doesn't the extra skin on the sides of the Prolemuris look like it could have been an evolution from wings? Also, iirc the Ikran have their queues pretty tight together...

And if you go with that thought, then look at the ikran--a lot like Toruk. So, Na'vi--Prolemuris--Ikran--Toruk! ;D

No wonder being Toruk Makto is such an honorific position--you're riding a long lost ancestor. ::)
