My apologies if this is a repeat of something already discussed (tried to check via sifting & search first), or if this is in the wrong category, but what word(s) in Na'vi resonates the most with you guys...And why? Just thought it'd be fun & interesting. Also, if I've mucked up on any of these words/phrases be sure to call me out on it — I came here to improve.

Anyways, this spankin' new to the subject perhaps my favorite word thus far is "yawne" or "tìyawn". As the very first thing I learned/needed to say in this wonderfully fluid lingo was "Nga yawne lu oer" (in unorthodox whispers to the reason I still breathe, my departed muntxatan).

Runners up..Hm.. I was pleased to see a word for spirit animals, "tireaioang", as the study of such things has been dear to me from a very young age, and the notion of a non-physical, in-depth way of perceiving/understanding someone else or something, "kame", also struck me as rather unique in possession of a good deal of depth and meaning (in the infamous "Oel ngati kameie", the notion of being able to understand and respect where another living entity is "comming from", even if not agree with it, I find an admirable expression of life's interconnection and respect for all forms of it). Other than the sentiment(s) that drove me to this site, I guess its still funny to tell folks I gotta go "yom" something before heads roll.  ;)

...Now what do you critters think?

Welcome to the board, Hatchet #7. My favorite word is not easy to ascribe. I personally feel it should be kept to word roots (no affixes) and, optimally, be something a person likes. For the thing I like, tstal, knife. For my favorite unrelated thing(s), tsawke, sun; atxkxe, land; and herwì, snow.

My least favorite, just saying, are ANY with rr.

Mine is the spirit. That the Na'vi have. The fearlessness with which they will defend that which is dear to them. My favorite word is "EKO".

Mine would be "rurur" as it reminds me how peaceful an aerated stream can sound.

Hrh!  I have two alternatives.  One is "prrku" as I think it is a clever, contracted, combination word that (to me) offers, through its sound, a sense of warmth and security.

The other is "tsaheylu" as it represents (to me) a physical condition with a spiritual interaction.
