DVD is going to be in 480p standard definition, and Blu-ray is going to be in 1080p Full High Definition.
Haha, yep, much clearer!

Edit: figuring out how to do quotes.
Yeah, use a good HDTV and HDMI cable. Component video is fine, but never use composite video. It's too grainy.

Over Christmas. In two parts, around a week apart. Not ideal!

I prefer to watch it all at once.

Irayo! I typically just use HDMI, but I actually didn't know the names of the Component and Composite video connectors. It's good to be aware!  :)

Right now :P :)

I wish I was watching it right now! Studying for a quiz...  :(

Last week, when I saw it for the first time (Simple reason why I made an account here only days after  ;)). After I found out about the new set of movies (and the "dates") I found and got the game and I'm playing that at the moment, while also of coarse putting in learning Na'Vi!  :)

It's interesting to see the many people who are just now seeing the film 7 years after it was announced to be the most successful film in human history. Oh, what a time 2010 was. But today is still a good time. :D I'm excited for how many more will come between now and the sequels seeking to learn this amazing language.

The last time I saw AVATAR was last week. I saw it on Blu-Ray 3D. This was the first time I had seen it in 3D since I first ever saw it, which was in IMAX 3D back in January 2010. I also joined LN days after seeing it the first time.  :ikran:

i watched the Avatar SE while on my job roadtrip to Portland, Oregon, about two months ago. i am considering watching my Avatar CE blu-ray tonight after Game of Thrones at 9. i'm not one of those people who can just plop down and watch Avatar. it is pretty much a spiritual experience for me, tbh, i have to be really in the spirit of the journey. i refuse to use the phrase 'religious experience' because religion is a man-made contrivance designed to control your thinking and removed hard-earned paper scraps from your wallet.

spirituality on the hand, is a whole different condition of thought and being. i shall always be grateful to the Avatar Experience for a glimpse into serenity and the spirituality of connectedness to self and environment.

Last friday night.
Bitterly disappointed as tech issues caused stuttering and frame drop. Seriously, on a DVD, WTF?
It settled down noticeably after about an hour, and became far more watchable.
I have other copies to try, but they're packed away, out of direct sunlight.

Um, yeah, I assumed it was a player issue .....
 :-[  :-[

 ..... I was wrong .....

..... I turned the disc over today, and looked at the shiny side .....

..... there's been a spider at work in my DVD case .....

..... disc cleaned, and it now plays perfectly.

At least you know that both (DVD and player) is OK :)
