Why dont we have tails??? Ome i want a tail!

Can someone tell me when exactly we started losing tails? Cause someone has some serious explaning to do on why we dont get to swish around tails like the na'vi! Hrh that would be the bomb

Yeah, humans not having tails is "very sad only"

It's likely that over time, there was less of a need for them as human behaviour changed (in terms of balance and movement), so it was lost. Humans do have tails in the embryo stage, but they are reabsorbed

Lol i already do! If i ever learn how to draw a decent tail (its kinda hard as simple as it mayseem) I will draw me with a kick ass tail

I read somewhere we do have tails, bit we lose them when we're in the embryonic stages in the womb - it's reabsorbed back into the body. However, we do retain the potential for them. A girl in india has a tail, largely superfluous exept for balance, like with the na'vi (saw this on the news lol). It said her family couldn't afford to get it amputated. Personally, I woulnt want to!  hrh

Actually, there really are people who are born with tails and keep them into adulthood.  You can google this if you want to, I'd rather not post the pics because I don't know if this would cross Payoang's line.

That  is true, but they are still tails.  I suppose this is genetic and longer tails could be encouraged if the race decided it was something desirable.

I read in "The Universe in a Nutshell" that the science of growing embryos outside of the body in order to enlarge the brain or correct defects (and to alter appearance) is being pursued. If I could be reborn with my same consciens I would want a tail and movable ears
