Today, walking home, I saw the sewer on the curb as normal. But I saw something sticking out of it, and I assumed it was styrofoam. I decided to go pull it out, but then, up close, it wasn't styrofoam. It looked like a weird pinkish-white fungus growing upwards.
I poked it and it felt like an egg-shell.
I guess it was some kind of creature; because it's head fell off. I screamed and said "DIABLO!" then ran away. But I came back and I examined it closer and i noticed it has teeth...then I looked at the body, and two, translucent arms were poking out. Below it, evenly spaced, were two more sets if clawed arms. It's body was separated evenly as well. (PS I don't speak Spanish just a little bit...don't know why I said what I said.)
I'll post a picture later...jeajdje ewwww

Please tell me if you have the slightest clue what it is. It's about 12 inches long too!

Sounds like you prematurely ripped open an insect cocoon.

From your description, it sounded like wasp cocoons, possibly of genus Polistes.

Post a pic and I might be able to ID it.

Lobster?
Hrh, that's what my boyfriend's brother said when he pulled it out of the sewer.

Or the remains of a white crayfish.

Raiden

Yeah, looks more like the remains of a trampled crustacean.

Depending on where you live, I suppose it could have gotten into the wastewater system, but freshwater Lobsters are very sensitive to pollution.

It is more likely that you found it dead and merely disturbed the position it was in, causing the remaining exoskeleton to collapse.
