Hi everyone!

I don't know about a large portion of the forum, but I am learning to drive. Yes, I've become one of those sixteen year olds with the yellow 'L' plate that constantly stalls at intersections and gets people like you angry. If I've done so, I'm sorry. I'm sure I apologised with a hand gesture in the rear-view mirror but meh.

The question is:
Are any else of you learning to drive? We have an L plate -> P plate (1st phase) -> P plate (2nd phase) system here. What's your process and where are you?

Nice! I'd prefer to drive the latter, though. :P

Cool! I couldn't get the gear change. I switched to a Quad and it was EEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPPPPPPPIIIIIIIIIICCCCCCC.

The biggest issue I have is downshifting atm.

But I should be doing my CBT in a couple of weeks and then I can ride it on the road :3

Huzzah! At least you have more patience than me when driving bikes. Ugh, did I mention that I panic sweat when I drive? I got out of the car and the seat was drenched.

Me too, but I don't think you'd get good gas mileage.
And where do you put the groceries?

Well, since our road rules are different here, I don't know. But if I have any general questions about driving, I will certainly ask.

Haha "apologised", yeah, let's call it that :P

Seriously though, good luck :D

I learned to drive quite some time ago but I never bothered to get the actual license, I'll get around to it eventually but for now it's just easier to go by bike

hemmond

I'm going to learn to drive in about one month... Let's see how quickly I'll learn. :D In our nation, we don't have yellow plates or other stuf... You have the licence and you can drive, or you don't have the driving lcence, so you can't drive... Easy... Have or haven't, can or can't. :)

Hey!  ;D It's a wave, not the bird. Haha imagine that: a bird flipping a bird - hysterical.  ;D

I started on automatic, just to develop comfort on the road but now I've switched to manual. It's growing on me. :P

Manual is my favorite.  I was forced to learn it, but it's so much more fun now. First gear is the worst gear. :D

Yayo

First gear is the most disgusting gear in the world. You're right: it's much more fun than automatic.  ;D

Man, I hate driving. Got my driver's license at 18 (earliest possible in Sweden), and haven't touched a steering wheel since.
