I'd like to spread this to others on the site so if any moderators could help me, that would be great. I honestly think that we may be onto something and if we can get enough serious people together, we can do it! Earth is all we have and it has the potential to return to its original, healthy, near-paradise state without the pollution and energy crises. I'm for starting an evironmentalist thread/group/board on Learn Na'vi, a place where we can share ideas and learn how to be self-sufficient and ecologically efficient. The rewards we could reap would be ten times better than intangible dreams.

I like that idea. I will run it past Seabass and see what he thinks.

Now... Back to the topic here...

Please do get back on topic, I apologize for my rant  :-\
I agree that NASA is a good program, I just felt like I had to make a point. Sorry if I bothered anyone.

It's all good.  The little off topic romp we just had may have been useful. I like your idea for the new board.

So anyway, I think we should still keep trying for the stars even while we are trying to fix things here.

I agree. Who knows what we might find out there that may help us down here? Besides, I'd kinda like the sense of excitement that comes with looking for something new.

Always on the path to knowledge...

Oh the irony...
there is a news article about russian space agency wanting to discuss prices for 2012 lauches to ISS to raise them from "pays for the costs" to "profitable". Currently Russia has contracts for shipping people and stuff to ISS till the end of 2011.

Wonder if China will try to bid - will definetly make things interesting...

Well hell, why not? The Obama administration is shutting down the current NASA program that would continue our (read USA) capability to get to the ISS and is handing out massive amounts of cash to everybody except those that need it. It's the natural next step.

Well I'd rather see out-sourcing than NO-sourcing.
