YKYBSNTLW you create a guide that's now over 30 pages long, but which initially started out as a reference to address about 10 common beginner mistakes.

...when you think to yourself "Huh, I wonder how easy it would be to make this list of words in LaTeX" and end up spending months and months on one of the most mocked documents on the recent web...

You know you've been studying Na'vi too long when you mention writing a paper about it and get three requests for a copy in one 12-hour period.

I will post that paper in the "Your Projects" section of this forum and make a linky right here: http://forum.learnnavi.org/your-projects-other-resources/matthew-2625-in-navi-for-rhetorical-grammar-and-usage-204/

P.S. Your dictionary is awesome and no matter how much ridicule it gets, it receives 100x that in praise (even from non-LN.org sute)

Who's been ridiculing that wonderful document? I shall smite them with the very glare of my eyes!! :D

Ridicule? Where? If so, shame on them for ridiculing such a useful document.

Ridicule?  For what?  It seems these are the statements of persons with little of value to offer for its improvement?  If that is the case...

This isn't true! I have a copy of the dictionary in my backpack at all times and whenever I talk with someone about Na'vi I always show them the dictionary and they are always impressed, even if they are not a fan of Na'vi!

<unnecessary rant>NICE. but I never print the dictionary. it is always open on my browser tab on my computers. it updates so freakin often, that it is useless to print it out. cuz like every two days of having the paper copy, the dictionary gets like 5 or 10 words...that are now NOT in the paper copy...anyway, yeah. </unnecessary rant>

Rain

I HAVE to have one on hand, so I have the March 29th update, but I do have a copy on my laptop. To save paper, I will only print a new one every 2 or three months.

You know you've been studying Na'vi too long when you step on your cat's tail and say "Tsapalute sengi Oe fpi ngaya kxetse!!"

(did we ever get an answer back on <eng>? i usually say <äng>...)

kxetseri ngeyä, tsap'alute sängi oe ngar. (is how I would say it, mainly based off of what I have seen Pawl write.)

Rain

Oh! Well that's an improvement, because I'm always mutilating my sentences. I'm still stuck on English Grammar, I don't quite think like Yoda yet.

YKYBSNTL...when you watch the movie Stardust, hear the name Yivane and think to yourself "'evang is a silly name".
...when you consider making work more interesting by trying to do it all in Na'vi.
...when you giggle uncontrollably because you made up a sentence without having to think about it or run it through English first.

Rain

...when you try to tell someone what you ate for breakfast and they look at you like you're retarded, then you realize you did it in Na'vi.
...when you start to wonder what the purpose of a pinkie ring is.
...when you wear your tail to a chinese restraunt.
...when you wear your tail to the grocery store.
...when you wear your tail to class.
...when you wear your tail. Period.

And the whole time you're thinking "Lu oeru kxetse! Lu oeru kxetse!"

"Freedom" definitely!!! I'm trying to translate MLK's "I Have A Dream" speech and I can't believe "freedom" isn't one of our words yet! It should be a pretty word though...
