For those who are unaware, Yasuni is one of the last really pristine chunks of rainforest left that support uncontacted tribes.

Unfortunately, it also sits atop many billions of gallons of oil.

I shouldn't need to say much more. I'll pledge some money to this when I get a chance, and I think others should too.
Trouble keeps me running faster

Thank you for sharing, the issues happening accross south america all reflect upon so called land and resource "development" projects and deeply impact upon the lives many native peoples  and the "rights of nature to exsist" the economic forces and systems are behind the root of such issues, I feel its very importent to raise awareness but untill we find a way to core address the root causes and come up with a way of "giving value" to trees "left standing" and break our dependence on oil, people and goverments will only "see" those resources as money left on the table ignoring the damage exploiting such resources will cause for generations to come, in following for example James Cameroins attempt to stop the Belo Monte dam many people around
the world stood in support along with judges from the supreme court , The dam project was halted then the judges "overruled"
untill we can find an alternitive way to address these countrys need for jobs and exports for bringing in income to counter
the constant "presure" to develop such preserved lands to make those trees more valuble a resource left "standing"
it may be nessary for developed countrys to "pay" for parks left undeveloped.
