Second life is a virtual online community.

And yes, it might cost you some money to create Avatar (( Characters appearance ))
And most people on SL just hang out in dance clubs / bars. Hire then own house, or, like me. Roleplay somewhere. ;)
I've heard that there's a Pandora Roleplay sim out there. I haven't seen it yet, though. Not really looked for it either, though

There are already several.  At least one is so lagged that there's no reason to visit.

I have played Second Life for a few years now and the first thing I learn't was how to build, and import 3D model's into second life, look up a tutorial or two on skinning, texturing, and building and it will soon come to you, I have build avatars before but not an AVATAR avatar.

I might log back in after a year of neglect and see what I can come up with.

Using the SL in-world search you can find most of what you want.  Doing a "Na'vi" search in the Groups tab will give you all sorts of info.  You can also track down people that way, so you might want to find "Pluto Gaffer" and IM him your questions in-world.

I myself am part of "Na'vi language" "The Na'vi People" and "Pandora Information Network" The latter is for sim/shop/info updates in SL.
