`Eylan Ayfalulukanä

Here's a fun colloquialism or idiom I have come up with.

kea tìngäzìk lu ne sawtute futa palulukanìl ke tsun ziveyko

(Or is the final word really zeykivo, even though the <eyk> here really isn't an infix in the normal sense in thet zeyko is a lexical word.)

LOVE IT!

If you wanted to write basically the same thing but in a slightly shorter form, may I suggest:

Ke lu kea tìngäzìk sawtuteyä a palulukanìl ke tsun zeykivo.
NEG be no problem S.PLUR-skyperson-GEN that thanator-ERG NEG can heal<SBJ>.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's zeykivo; I've seen it written that way before, and <iv> goes after <eyk> in normal verbs.

Either way...awesomeness.  ;D

I would add that this is a great place for the dative case.  And i'm gonna play with the word order just...because ;)

Ke lu Sawtuter(u) kea tìngäzìk a pa(lu)lukanìl ke tsun zeykivo

Or, if you want more of an implied threat...

Ke lu kea tìngäzìk leSawtute a pa(lu)lukan ke tsun zeykivo

And you could throw an <ei> infix in there too, if you're so inclined.

Irayo! I finally wrote something with 'futa' in it that wasn't wrong! Still, though, I like the alternative suggestions, and am considering which one to 'adopt'.

The meaning I am looking for here is sarcastic, and perhaps just a bit threatening.

Kì'eyawn, your second sentence suggestion

Ke lu kea tìngäzìk leSawtute a pa(lu)lukan ke tsun zeykivo

contains an illegal word lesawtute Although you constructed this word properly, at this time le- is not considered to be a productive affix, unless created by K. Pawl. Lesawtute is not in the dictionary, therefore it is not a useable word.

Tonight or tomorrow, I will be presenting my first Na`vi paragraph, describing why thanators like Skypeople so much.... :)

Darn, broke my own cardinal rule.  I'm usually pretty good about not making words up.  Guess i just took it for granted that one was canon.  Good catch, ma 'Eylan.
