So, I was watching the movie (for the fifth time), looking for stuff I hadn't noticed. I found some interesting things, like maybe at the end when Neytiri is holding Jake she says "ma jake"- might be "my jake." Noticed that the word for rock is different, I think. Stuff like that.

But the most interesting: When Neytiri fixes Jake's bow, she says |. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's an alveolar click. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's the noise we use to say "tsk tsk", or to call a cat towards us. For those of you who don't understand, I'm sorry.

Any one notice any other clicks? Or non-linguistic phonetic semiotic markers?

But do you think that sound is a word ?
kaltxí ngaru lu fpom srak?

Txon is correct. I just got back from seeing it five minutes ago, haha. And she most definitely says "My Jake"

I noticed the click too, and I love those little things. Makes it more real. I can't recall any other calls. Except for when Neytiri calls her ikran. It was like a cat's meow kind of thing. And those awesome war cries!! I love those war cries.
rey yol ulte lu fpom.

I wouldn't go so far as to call it a word. But I would call it something. I forget the word, currently.

That little cry that she does is also good. Keep your ears open for more!

Darn. Well, it could be a mispronounced ma. :D
