Hmm, sounds viable, although I think it would translate more directly as "Day which will soon come."  Still works, though.

I like that way better, since it doesn't rely on shaky grammar xD

But we digress- I think it's safe to say that Taronyu shouldn't add in every possible combination of this(noun) and that(noun) since it would be almost as bad as making plural(noun) for everything as well.  Maybe once we've got the entire vocabulary list they can be added (considering the plural form is usually listed for each applicable word in most dictionaries), but I think it would be overly redundant and extremely useless considering all you have to learn is one or two rules about forming such words and you can make them on your own without needing the dictionary to list them.

The phrase we've come up with would probably be understood but is probably not right. I imagine that, like most languages, whilst next day and the day that comes are good descriptions for tomorrow, there is an actual word, we just don't know it yet.

Right - I was referring to all the various transformations of each word, be it ay+, le+, etc. Those could possibly be added once we've got a more complete list, but for now it would be too redundant and not helpful enough to warrant the action.

I agree, it would be absurd to add in all the forms for nouns. And that's only going to get worse once trial forms arrive.

<ay> and <am> are verb infixes, trr is a noun so I'm inclined to go with no. Also, they'd attach before the vowel (rr).
Yes, I know they're for verbs, and yes of course we can go with 'the day past' or 'the coming day' as others have suggested. But since we already have "trram" 'yesterday', and that sure looks like it's based on the root trr, I was just wondering if the -am might be an idiosyncratic use of the infix, not infixed before the vowel because trr is not a verb. If it turns out it is, we might expect tomorrow to be "trray". I'm not suggesting that we make it up, just predicting that it might be there.

P.S.  Unless I'm reading the NYTimes article incorrectly. I have:

   Oe-hu Txewì trram ná'rìng-mì t<arm>ok.
   I-with (name) day.pst? forest-in exist<pst.imfv>
Yesterday I was with Txewì in the forest

There is no canonical transcription for the NYTimes audio clip.  The transcription you're working from represents someone's best guess - so almost by definition you are reading it incorrectly.  Or they are writing it incorrectly.  Or both.

Keep it. There aren't any real new pages.

You know I haven't printed a single version, yet?

Is rä'ä getting an update in light of the recent conclusion that it's actually a particle for negative imperatives?

That's because you are probably one of the few people on the planet that have the whole thing MEMORIZED, for Deus' sake  ;D

Hell yeah I am. Also, just found out a friend of mine had it downloaded but didn't know I made it. So there's one against you guys saying I am forwarding it too much, haha. I'm going to teach him some Na'vi in an hour! Woot!

Yes, editing rä'ä now. I've issues with this word before, but decided to leave it until something else came forward. Should have brought it myself.  ::)

"Particle for negative imperatives".  Ok, back to the references to see what that means.  :-[

I always matched rä'ä to "don't. Assuming I am not off base, "don't" being the contraction for "do not", is a particle?

Not in English. But it would appear to be in Na'vi, the way "yes" and "no" are particles in English.
