Well, drat.  I missed the first birthday of the grammar, August 13th.  Oh, well.

There will be a new release in a few days.  There won't be too much different in terms of the grammar, but I have begun the process of adding links to places where Frommer says things about grammar.  So, unlike the examples, which are merely marked as coming from Frommer or not, the section citations will link directly to his blog, the Wiki or the few other web sources that exist (such as the Language Log post, which told us so much).  The citation text is wee, but it'll add a page or two to the document when done.

Many of the citations are already there, they're just comments in the LaTeX source.  So, I can easily hunt down the exact wiki page for some point of grammar, but everyone else has to search, which seems silly.  It'll take quite a while to covert everything, so for now it will mostly be new points that have good citations.

New version out, 1.16.

* another anterior perfective example;
* nìwotx with dual ("both");
* ta for motion with transitive verbs;
* note pleonastic negation with ke li;
* tì'eyng, fmawn and faylì'u quotation nominalizations with contractions and syntax;
* begin the process of adding citations for points where available (the wee text in blue);

Irayo, ma Wm. Annis. I really like the addition of the citations!

BTW, I will shortly begin working on something like this for Dothraki. But linguistic noob that I am, I don't think it will be able to attain to the awesomeness of your reference grammar!

Noticed small inaccuracy:
- 6.5.2. Lenition. Six of the adpositions cause lenition... - there's eight of them, all correctly mentioned in the following text (ro, mì, ìlä, fpi, wä, sre/pxisre/lisre)
- 2.2.2. Adpositions. A few adpositions cause lenition when they precede a word: fpi, ìlä, mì, ro, sre (and pxisre), wä. - lisre is missing here

Irayo!  These will be fixed in the next release.

Some more proposals:
- is it posible to add content? Index is useful, but content would be good too
- modal verbs: may' is not listed, although it is marked as modal in dictionary

I will add may' to the next version.

A useful table of contents adds quite a few pages to the document.  A complete one adds 10 pages.  If I can find a way to seriously cut down how many pages it takes, I'll consider including it in a future version.

Blue Elf

Oh, so much? For me it would be sufficient to have content for first two levels of titles, like:

1. introduction
1.1 history
1.2 notation and conventions
2. Letters and sounds
2.1 Sound system
2.2 Lenition
etc.
I'd like to have one because if I search for e.g. adpositions, I must scroll through the document to find them

More nuances for the next edition of Horen Lì'fyayä leNa'vi ta Na'viteri: fìtsap + <äp> and a little more about the <ats> infix... if that's important to you.

And a new conditional type snuck in.  :)

It is important, but I'm still recovering from a travel disaster that involved me wandering around NY City trying to find a hotel that would have me.  Give me a day or two to update the grammar.

wm.annis

New version out, 1.17.

* reciprocal w/ fìtsap
* conjectural questions
* kam, kay, nuä
* yet more citations

The formatting has changed somewhat.  First, I moved the margins out so quite a lot more appears on a page.  This reduced the page count significantly.  I don't think the text is any harder to read this way, and it certainly makes some of the tables less crowded.  With wider margins and a serious page count reduction, I decided to include a table of contents (the section titles are clickable).
