practicing with dates and such

i was a bit doodling around and before i know i got the date in na'vi.
well, my na'vi is like skxawng so i just wanted it checked

is today before dawn monday 11 - 7 -  11'     ?

again i just doodled and i just wondered, so forgive me for breaking grammar rules.
am i doin it rite?

cant say I've ever tried to use numbers or dates. I don't know that you can do it like that. we know parts of the day, days, weeks, months(??), and years in relation to another day.
you want to say

is it before dawn of Monday, the eleventh day of the seventh month of the two-thousand-eleventh year?

this structure of naming dates specifically via numbers seems sketchy and any specific date system as far as I know has not been agreed upon/released.

Its the fact that this conlang was tailored for an extraterrestrial race... definitions of alll measurent of time will be different between us. trrtxon in itself seems to have been fabricated to suit humans of earth(i hear pandoran days woupd be inconsistent as well as seasons, what do we even know about pandora?) as well as kintrr words. ( trr[number]ve, clearly modeled after the popular earthly seven day week)

You're right. That's why I don't even think about doing a LEP submission for seasons, until we have the confirmation that the Na'vi have that concept as well (which will most probably never happen). It was actually just a little childish whim hihi, nothing serious.

Agree with TA - Na'vi world is different from the ours one, therefore trying to use our dates is a little odd, as we know how little Na'vi takes care about time. That's also why I'm not very happy with some words which are too tightly connected with our world (like week - real Na'vi surely don't know what it is...)
However - you can use your fantasy to describe things by words we know. It is amusing, you'll be surprised what you can write/say even with limited vocabulary as I was, just try it. This is feature of Na'vi which I love - you're forced to think different way (and that's probably why we are usually called ayskxawng by real skxawngs  )
About seasons - we have zìsìkrr, so we can use:
- zìsìkrr tìsomä for summer
- zìsìkrr herwìyä for winter
- zìsìkrr ayrìkä azusup for autumn
- zìsìkrr aysulangä a'usong for spring

Nice, isn't it? Alhough a little complicated for daily usage, poetic and perfect for writing
Maybe isn't bad idea to create dictionary with such substitutes, it would be great project.

Mllte, I also really like finding more complex ways of expressing a non-existing word in Na'vi. In fact, I remember doing that to designate seasons, and many other things as well. I came up with something slightly different than you (your ideas were great!), but there are certainly many different possibilities.

A substitute dictionary does sound like a very nice idea to me, it would be very interesting!
