I just noticed that we still don't know transitivity of a verb 'eyng. It's marked just as v. in the dictionary. So which would be correct:

  'Iveyng oeru tìpawmit.

or

  Tìpawmìri 'iveyng oer.

:-\ Or maybe there was official examples?

The transitivity of 'eyng is still unknown, unfortunately.
This is what I know from the LEP:

Verbs with unknown transitivity:

red - wasn't sent

'eyng - answer, respond
latsi - keep up with someone
oeyktìng - explain (why)
rol - sing
salew - proceed, go
spä - jump
tuvon - lean
tsä' - squirt
virä - spread, proliferate
Many months back, LEP sent some examples with verbs that have unknown transitivity. These words (in red) above havn't been sent.

Not necessary. Leave it open just for the case of future discussion. ;)

From what I gathered for the Annotated Dictionary...
These are all the official examples we have from Frommer with the verb 'eyng:

'Awa tìpawmìri 'iveyng oe set; aylari zusawkrr 'ayeyng. (LN)

Pxiset ke lu oeru krr fte tì'eyngit tivìng, slä fmayi oe 'iveyng ye'rìn. (LN)

From their making use of the topic I strongly suspect that it is intransitive... But no official ruling yet.

Although there is this example that is a bit dodgy depending on the translation:

Nìawnomum tolel oel ta ayhapxìtu lì'fyaolo'ä pxaya sìpawmit atxantsan a vay set ke 'oleyng. (Naviteri)

Personally, I wouldn't use it transitively ;) but then again, I always want to go on the safe side :P

Kemaweyan

Excellent! I think 'Awa tìpawmìri 'iveyng oe set means that my second example is correct (Tìpawmìri 'iveyng oer). So it would be safe to use 'eyng in this way. Irayo ;)

I have splitter the discussion about aylari. Here you go http://forum.learnnavi.org/intermediate/aylari/

And to keep the context of this discussion:

I noticed dict-navi.com gives the following example sentence with transitive usage:

oe new 'iveyng ngeyä tìpawmit - I want to answer your question

I thought that the example sentences there were from official sources ??? Does anyone know where this example comes from?
