Hmmm, that's interesting, I wonder what the next avatar-ish sci-fi/fantasy movie-going bump will be. Virtual reality movie perhaps? In any case, this definitely is the year of sci-fi entering totally into the mainstream what with Star Trek (the new movie) and now Avatar.

More on topic. I agree that the college student and above age will be the biggest contributors to our knowledge of the Na'vi language but I feel that we can't discount the 18 and younger crowd since they generally have more free time than us older folks (except for perhaps the liberal arts majors in college, no offense but you guys definitely have it easy).

Ma Ftiafpi, the younger crowd have shorter attention spans, but usually learn faster than us old dogs, so it all evens out. Also, I have found the threat to our planet to be more 'real' to the younger crowd, so they may be relating more to the moral than the story. Just the view from 46 here.

Yeah I'd agree that it will balance out. I've always been a fast learner and since I'm 23 I guess I still qualify as a "young dog" but what I lack right now is time but, you know what they say, don't have the time, make it. My schedule for the past day (and probably today) has been wake-up, work, get home, spend all night reading learnnavi.org, sleep, rinse and repeat. I do like how open this community is. I regularly chat on an automotive forum and wow, you get scared to ask a question for fear of being a skxwang, and even worse you don't want to reply to any questions for an even worse fear of giving the wrong answer.

I'll be 21 in under six months, so I feel like I should have hit the 21 group.

P.S. Crazy backyard party at my house in June ;)

May we assume that is an invitation to all 500+ members of the forums (as of this moment) to your house for a party?   :P

Ahahah, I remember when I turned 21, I've never really been into drinking so it wasn't much of an event, we got my brother wasted though on his 21st, it was hilarious (and simultaneously taught him how to appropriately manage the amount of alcohol he consumes).

21 in the US because....

1. We suck at driving, and majority of the cities have terrible public transit... so the drunk ones drive. They at least expect a 21 year old to be mature enough to make a better decision, not fooling anyone though.

2. Typical family party in rural towns, a keg of Bud or Miller, and the 24 pack of other beer. We like to make ourselves stupid drunk!

3. Because we don't know what moderation means!

Well that explains a good majority, but not everyone in the US. Oh! If given the choice of Water, Cola, Juice or Beer to survive, better be a BUD!

I happen to be fine with the no drinking under the age of 21 law. Then again, I'm 16, and I plan to never drink/smoke/whatever.  ;D

I really feel guilty going to college. Everyone is slaving away, and I personally see how rough it is for my girlfriend... and here I am just floating through as an art major. Makes me depressed honestly.
