Wafflez Guy

Hey my name is Guy (really is) - 19 years old, and I personally am loving another great Minnesota winter!

I just saw Avatar last night and immediately started searching for somewhere to learn this, finding this site was a godsend. I've only just started practicing grammar today so I have a ways to go! I noticed the last message on the other introductions saying it was locked and to start a new one, so I did! Very nice to be part of the community and looking forward to learning this with you guys, thanks  :D
I would like to bring to attention how overpowered paper is, scissors are fine.

Hi,
My name is Keith and got to see the movie on opening day here in the USA. This happened to be my birthday. Looking forward to learning the language. I am enjoying another wonderful Alaska winter. One whole week of negative temps and then we shoot to right around freezing!

erinebergman

Hey, my name is Erin, been on here a couple of days just forgot to post here.

I have taken Spanish my whole life but my it is iffy at best. I took a year of Latin, a tid bit of French. And like many here I was completely enthralled with the movie and the language.

I am working on online flash cards which should be able to be accessed by anyone.  ;D

Hi, I'm Ben and I saw Avatar a couple of days ago. I was really interested by the language, so a bit of research lead me here!
I am absolutely thrilled that Na'vi has such a following already, and that people are taking the time to learn and eventually master what should turn out to be an amazing conlang!
Personally, I'm very interested in linguistics and languages, have dabbled a bit in other languages and conlangs and am eager to see how extensive Na'vi will become!
From what I've seen and learnt so far here, the grammar side seems to be pretty manageable - the limited lexicon on the other hand is a bit of an issue; I've tried translating a couple of passages, but nearly always have had to stop or skip something because the word doesn't exist yet... Let's hope the creator makes some new words soon! :)
All in all, I'm excited to see where this ends up, and keen to follow along!

Kaltxì!
This language is beautiful. I hope to have conversations soon with you all.

Kaltxì to everyone new. The language of the Na'vi is beautiful, is it not?

hi everyone, just saw the movie yesterday, and I was impressed with the language (among other things), so I searched and found this site, and here I am

Roiki

Tervehdys

I'm Joonas and live near Helsinki, Finland. I saw the movie on the opening night and the language stuck with me more than anything else in the movie, so i foud my way here. Honestly i didin't think the language would gather so much attention, though it was quite beautiful in the film.
I'm 20 and just finished high school, next year i have my military service and hopefully after that i can go to film school(only one here, 6% admission rate) to study production or sound design. I speak Finnish, little Swedish and prettu fluent English, i also studied Japanese for a few years and have learnt little German from past friends. Since i've always been interested in languages my logic says Na'vi is quite nice addition to have.

Hopefully the interest lasts and someday there is enough words to speak the language properly.
Slow is smooth, smooth is fast.

Hi, my name's Cheeming and I am 18.

Merry Christmas, and to wafflez guy.  Minnesota FTW!!!

I took on an interest of learning Na'vi after watching the amazing film Avatar.  Honestly that film was flawless.  Character development and story telling was done perfectly.  Anyway, this is an awesome forum.  Lets go kick some klingon a** lol.   ;D

Kaltxi, oe-l ngati kameie. Tsun oe nga-hu ni-Na'vi pivangkxo a fi-'u oe-ru prrte lu.   :)

Hi everyone, I'm Ian

I saw Avatar twice opening weekend and found this forum just today.

I've been interested in language and etymology for years and really look forward to the challenge of Na'vi. The Klingons have Shakespeare so I want to translate Euripides.

The old Uriuujìn

Hello. I am Uryuujin, and I saw Avatar about two days ago, and it was AMAZING! I looked up this site yesterday, but I haven't registered until today. I'm having some trouble understanding some of the grammatical terms, but I am hoping to learn this extremely interesting language, so that I can better understand when I see it next. ^_^

Feel free to talk to me at anytime, I am honored to be a part of such a fast-growing and interesting community.
