I am a new member and wanted to say, "Kaltxi" to everyone. Being new I am open to suggestions and look forward to meeting people.

Hi and zola'u nìpprte'! :D

It's very nice to see so many new members. :) I hope you'll have a great time here!

If you want a suggestion: be careful with the "special" letters, such as ä and ì. :D For example, hello is kaltxì, not kaltxi; the latter does not exist, actually. :) Many beginners (and more-than-beginners) do that mistake. hihi :)

Welcome on the most friendly forum in the world.
At first I advise you come to this stuff and read this language studying tips. If you want pick language easier, it's only one way - try to speak. And don't be afraid of errors and ask all that you don't understand. Everyone here will be glad to help you.
And listen
It may also be useful for you to listen this Karyu Pawl speech (with English translation), it helps you pronounce difficult Na'vi sounds. :)
and this one as well by him:

and also this one by him found on his blog, Na'viteri:

Hi :)
Try using a different browser.

HI :)

Try using a diffrent translator.

I hate to sound mean and hate on navilator, but it's just.....bad. Yeah, I know, LN owns it. but no one here has (as far as I know, probably due to time, I'm included in the guilty party) made any attempts of improving it to be a good traslator. it's the only eng-->na'vi translator out there, and it is NOT really a good one. No good English-->Na'vi translator exists out there. and there is no na'vi-->english mode on navilator. it's really just best to learn the lanugage and not use any translator.

A really decent wordforword Na'vi-->english traslator is based on our database Eana Eltu, it is here http://dvi.clonk2c.ch/navi_translate.pl cool thing about this one is it recognizes affixed Na'vi words and does each word of whole sentences.

I used to use translators a lot in the beginning of my time here... but I tell you, the DAY I stopped using translators and started learning by example and conversation, association, correction, and immersion, I have not needed a dictionary since but few times.

Wow...thanks for the heads up! This was exactly the kind of info I was seeking again thanks.I will take it slow and learn from example.

oh and for everyone, that translator is hosted on a forum as kind of a plugin. you do not need to register in order to use it. though consider what I said a few posts back. ;)

Glad you found what you were looking for ma randall. :D

Kaltxì, Oeru syaw fko Suì generìs. Oel ngati kameie

So yeahhhhh... I found this website yesterday, and lurked it for a while. Everyone here seems very kind to each other, which is great... so today I signed up! I know absolutely 0 Na'vi.  ;D but I'll try to learn as much as I can without using a translator. I actually always wondered if it was a language that could be learned, 'cause like that would be so totally boss to be able to speak Na'vi.. and like you guys are all total bosses. ^^ Oeru teya si.

Eywa ngahu
You ought to start a new topic. ;)
Tse'a ngal ke'ut a krr fra'uti kame.

Fwewyu Tìngayä

He is third new person, who introduced forum members in which tread. :P
Anyway does it matter something? I think it is not...
So i am going to say for any new member here - WELCOME!
As said learning of na'vi isn't painfull, but anyone who is going to start it should be ready to pay his free time and probably delete any computer game from hdd for better effect... this way if you are really big fan and you dream how to start speak it you will direct all your motivation on the learning. ;D

Kaltxi!

I'm a regular na'vi Role-player, and am trying to learn the language.  I have a lot of the basics down, but not all of them.  I also need to look more deeply into cultural aspects.  ty for allowing me to be a member.  I'm rather quiet, very shy, so you may not see many posts from me.
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.  Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion... I watched C-beams glitter in the darkness by the Tenhausser Gate.  All of these moments will be lost in time....  Like tears in rain....  Time to die.
