Kaltxi everyone! I was just wondering, out of all the languages in the world that you could choose to learn, you chose to learn Na'vi. why did you choose this language, above others that are actually spoken throughout the world? For me, this is my third language. My second was spanish. I guess i chose this language because I love the movie, and kind of fell in love with the world and the people. also, I am a huge nerd, lol. what about the rest of you?

Unlike the other common languages in the world, I found Na'vi to be very unique and beautiful. Out of all the friends I have and the people I know in this world I'm the only one who knows that Na'vi is an actual developing language. Someday I hope that the world will welcome this language and speak it just like any other commonly used language in the world. However, I can't tell when that day will be or if it'll ever happen.

Knowing a language as special as Na'vi makes me feel as if I have an important role. What would a developing language be without students to learn it and practice it? It wouldn't be anything but another fictional language based off a movie, right? Na'vi is much different from any other fictional language used in movies and shows. There are many people interested in it and there are many that have already mastered it. How many people do you know mastering the languages from Star Trek and so on?

Yayo

The ninja feeling of learning a language that's only spoken by a select few was enough for me.

Txärem, you have a great point there. Its cool to know that people have already mastered it. I have to say, just starting off, it's a pretty daunting task, especially trainin my brain to think things in another language, when I already speak two. I would have started learning a long time go had I known Na'vi was a full and developing language. But I'm havin fun, really enjoying learning the language. And it helps to have all the people in this forum so willing to help.

Srane, ma 'eylan. This language can be very intimidating at first (I would know that since I'm also new to the language). The different way of pronouncing things and so on can prove to be a challenge. Once you master it I think that you'd agree that it was worth the time put into it.

Kaltxì ma Ateyo ulte zola'u nìprrte',

I love how the language sounds, how simple and complex it is simultaneously and how it let's your ideas fly, when you have to think about the meaning of a message behind the words, when you want to formulate the message nìNa'vi. This forces you to think nìNa'vi.

Talking about the movie, tse, the movie had a huge impact on my life, because it worked on many personal meta-levels for me. And as I wanted to learn a new language I thought: "Why not Na'vi? That's freaking awesome!"  And it is!
