Kaltxì ma oe-yä ay-eylan! Oe-ru syaw fko Oeluzo.
Hello my friends! They call me Oeluzo (As nature intended)

I have been reading this forum for over a month but am just now joining because I have spent so much time trying to find the perfect name.  I have already begun using this great language in public and people have looked at me strangely. I think it is very funny to see their expression.

It is my goal to be fluent by the release of Avatar 2. I would love to be able to understand the Omaticaya when they speak. Even more so, I would love to make great friends in this forum and be able to have fluent conversations with them nìNa'vi.

As my first contribution to the forum, I have customized a keyboard layout for Mac users. In my opinion, it is the most natural setup for English speaking users. Like what was done in the past, Q and J are not used niNa'vi so I replaced Q with ä and J with ì. This way, the new letters are close to their unaccented counterparts. Also, I replaced the apostrophe (which switches direction based on placement) with a dedicated left curving apostrophe – just like Karyu Pawl uses.

Oe lu lefpom fìtseng t<äng>ok ulte 'eylan si pxay!
I am very glad to be here and I look forward to making many friends!

Not sure about the difference between ' or '.

' will be changed in to ' or ' automatically in some software, just don't type something start in ' but all are '-s later will be fine I think..

Anyway..

Welcome on the most friendly forum in the world.
At first I advise you come to this stuff and read this language studying tips. If you want pick language easier, it's only one way - try to speak. And don't be afraid of errors and ask all that you don't understand. Everyone here will be glad to help you.

Eywa ngahu. :D

I'm not sure what you are saying here. Are you saying to just not start a word with ' ?

That would make sense in order to avoid the backwards glottal stop but how could you avoid that with so many words like 'eylan?

For example type 'ì'awn or 'ì'awn, never 'ì'awn.

In Word the ' before a "word" will be changed to ', and anything later will be '.
Type ''ì'awn then delete the first one, 'ì'awn is got. :)

Now I see what you mean.

Seems like a pain though. I guess that's what I was trying to avoid by making the dedicated apostrophe.
