Hi there! I'm a native English speaker but I have always had an interest in language, picking up varying amounts of French, Spanish and German and 'enough' of Italian and Chinese to 'get by' (order at a restaurant, if I'm honest). I have a great interest in learning this exotic language as learning Chinese (quite far removed from English and other western languages) was great fun and a real challenge! If anyone has any tips to help me get started or references or just general suggestions on the way I should be going about it they would be greatly appreciated.

Kaltxì ulte zola'u nìprrte', ma Fyel!

It's great to see new people here! I would look here on the beginner section first. A also very helpful thread is "Appeal to everyone who begins to study Na'vi". (It's also located in the beginner section.)

I wish you a lots of fun here!
If you have any questions, just ask them. :)

Hello Fyel!
Welcome here and enjoy this forum!
What to recommend to the beginner? Have a look into beginner's subforum, learn some basic words a grammar and ask, try to write and speak.
To learn vocabulary, http://www.memrise.com/course/26139/all-navi-vocabulary/ is great course for Na'vi fans.
But main rule is - have a fun! Search Learning resources for Prezi lessons from Le'eylan - they can help you a lot.
Good luck!
