Hello Everyone!

Not everyone might remember me but I was part of this lì'fya'olo couple of years ago. I came back after 2-3 years of absence so I will start all over again.

My name is Kxrekorikus and I'm 23 years old Polish guy living in UK at the moment. I'm interested in linguistics, gaming (mostly card games such as Magic the Gathering), computing, making websites and everything related as "being a nerd", speaking alien languages and so on...
For the first time I have seen Avatar back in January 2010th and immediately after I started to learn the Na'vi language which fascinated me even more than movie and world of Unìltìrantokx.
I remember times when we do not have so many amazing materials, full pages of words to learn in puk aylì'uä so now it should be easy to jump into my shoes 

I see most of people I remember are gone but I think I will make many new Na'vi-speaking friends here 

Eywa ayNgahu, ma Smuktu 

It was a forbidden language here so now I will try to speak a bit Na'vi:

@Tirea, Yes, Na'vi was written language for me, maybe because lack of speaking skills in English. Now with more than 2 year practice by living in United Kingdom and speaking English everyday I want to be able to speak Na'vi, not just write in it :P

Thanks to all for the welcome. I am glad that I will present here again. I can not wait to get back to the form with my Na'vi :)

So I know it's maybe not the best place to start but I have few questions:

1) What's the most up to date learning resource for beginners? I have a copy of Reference Grammar. I heard that Na'vi in nutshell is not good anymore :(
2) Are Teampspeak, IRC or Skype groups still active?
3) How to start learning vocabulary? Any suggestions? while grammar won't be a problem because it needs only a repetition, vocabulary will be huge issue to catch up :P

1) for beginners? Not sure. I just put in a pile of corrections to MIPP's Beginners guide but it's not fixed yet. That reference grammar should be quite sufficient. I actually quite recommend the Cheat Sheet. It's super concise and has all the really big-picture important stuff on it.

2) Skype - LONG dead. IRC - full of lurkers/afk.TS - dead too, but there may still be people coming in every now and then to use it. I'd like to revive this actually.

3) Memrise.com we have several Na'vi courses there. One of them has all Main Block dictionary words.

Eltusiyu

Tirea, what about making IRC chatgroup on Facebook? Almost everyone has it and from previous experience of these groups (I used one for World of Warcraft guild) it might work + it allows video chat :)

IRC on Facebook? Facebook uses IRC protocol?? :o

I know there has long been a Facebook Group called "LearnNavi Forum" but it's kinda dead, getting like 4 posts a year. And no one really chats on it either.

The current stuff are available here [For Beginners] Links to useful learning materials - II
We are about to write complete new stuff for learning anyway that means, new NiaN, Horen and activity book. :)

No, that's not I mean. We can make group conversation. It works the same way as between two people, but more than 2 can actually write there. Moderators invite folks so there is no chance of getting trolls or any other internet abominations ;) Everything stays in logs there so... ;)

I am aware about Google hangouts, Skype or any other alternative way, but to be honest Facebook App is the most common on all devices everywhere around the World :P

Oeru txoa livu, for this necro-double-posting  ::)

After 3 years of not being here or being here just for a while, with help of friend :) I came back with ambitions to ressurect my Na'vi skills and improve them (in 2010-11 I was more writing in Na'vi rather than speaking). So I am here, definately back with couple of fresh ideas how to develope this wonderful community :)

Dang, could have used your expertise back in October 2014!
Pasha, an Avatar story, my most recent fanfic, Avatar related, now complete.

The Dragon Affair my last fanfic, non Avatar related.

Eltusiyu

Thanks for the greetings :)

@Wllìm and Tìtstewan
I will speak about it later. For now? I'm going to make my connection with this place stronger and meet more wonderful people. Of course improving my Na'vi and learning some vocabulary are very important but I will take my time. I have no rush with that because I want to learn it well rather than just memorize it :)

@Archaic
I like them a lot :D Sure, I can help with making more of them based on Avatar, even nìNa'vi nì'aw :)
