Hi everyone! My name is Barby. I'm from Pembroke Pines, Florida in the USA. I'm new to the Na'vi world & am looking forward to learning the language. I love the movie & would've loved to have become an avatar myself. I will need a lot of help learning so I'm hoping to make some friends that can help. The Apple app isn't working when I click on resources & dictionary. The YouTube videos are kinda hard to follow cause it doesn't feel like a beginner video series. It feels like you kinda have to have some Na'vi language experience to follow along. I did print out the 63 page dictionary though. Any suggestions to better learning, I would really appreciate.

Thanks!
:D

Kaltxì! :D Welcome to the Learn Na'vi Forums! We look forward to helping you out with that.

You have certainly come to the right place then :)

QuoteThe Apple app isn't working when I click on resources & dictionary.

Yeah, the other developer and I are aware of this and hopefully we can get this settled soon. Sorry about the downtime!

Which videos? There are those on the Learn Na'vi Channel:

And there are those new ones by Plumps:
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4b3ZyQwndkcbtANj5oJ0M-pF4RHnL0ig

I'd be happy to explain anything in those that doesn't make sense :)

QuoteI did print out the 63 page dictionary though.

WOU! That's a lot of paper ;D  At least the dictionary is more stable these days than it was. It still gets updates as words continue to be created and added.

QuoteAny suggestions to better learning, I would really appreciate.

My suggestions would depend on what your preferences and learning style are. Each person learns differently and prefers different ways to go about this.  There never has been one correct way to learn Na'vi. We are still experimenting with different ways to go about that.

I hadn't watched the videos you posted. I had watched the "Na'vi Class 103" series on the "LearnNavi" YouTube channel. The videos you posted are a lot easier to follow. Thanks!!

Yeah....bad me..... I'm a kinesthetic/visual learner so I need to actually have tangibles to learn best.
