So I've been on the lookout for a penpal and I think one that I could chat with in Na'vi would be cool!

I couldn't really find another lace that I thought this should go but maybe this could be stickied and we could have a whole bunch of Na'vi penpals running around!

I second this idea.  This topic should be stickied (somewhere) for people to search out others interested in a little Na'vi emailing (or writing if you're old school yeah right, no one is going to do this) back and forth.  I also recommend that if you post looking for a potential penpal that you include you're Na'vi proficiency (roughly, an honest self-evaluation) so that you can find someone on par with your speaking abilities.  This way you could help each other as you both progress.

Well not to sound old school or anything but I meant it as an actual penpal but we could do either.

Wait a second, you're telling me there's a 16 year old girl out there who actually wants to write a letter?  Not text, or email?  I didn't think such a mythical creature existed.  :)

Kaltxi,

You are in the right place for Na'vi langauge.
Take a look at the following links:
To gain some vocab quickly , you can go to this page:
http://www.learnnavi.org/navi-vocabulary/#vocab
From there you can hear and download varity of words.

Also there is the complete package for a beginner right here:
http://forum.learnnavi.org/beginners/%28for-beginners%29-links-to-useful-documents/

For any question you have, you are encouraged to use the appropriate forum.

Hope you will have a great time around!

I would also be willing to text some people.  I know it'll be a little different (and semi contradicting) but if you would like to be Na'vi textingpals, send me a message!

Kaltxì ma 'eylan! :)

Welcome and have a fun time learning the language. You will find many useful tools in the Beginners section of the forums and also some great projects within the Your Projects / Other Resources section too.

Also available is a Rosetta Stone look/work alike program called the Tree of Voices that can really assist in the learning process. You can find the website by clicking on the picture in my link.

I strongly recommend using the Activity Book  that is available on the front page of Learn Na'vi website.

Once more is a learning tool in which you can actually SPEAK to others that speak Na'vi. That's right, no longer trying to sound it out on your own, but actually speak it with others. Don't be afraid though, we are all learning. This tool is the Learn Na'vi Teamspeak Server. If you don't have Teamspeak, you can download it here: TEAMSPEAK!!!

Learn Na'vi Teamspeak Server Info:

Server IP:ts.learnnavi.org
Port Number:9987

Also, I would love to give the whole penpal/texting thing a try. It would be fun, and writing letters would give me enough time to make everything right, heh.

Eywa Ngahu!!

((EDIT: I just noticed you were an Arizonan, that would make letters rather fast.))

I assumed it would be snail mail when I read it too, so *shrugs*

I'd love to be penpals with someone. I barely know any Na'vi as of now, but I'm in the process of building vocabulary. I'm going to start learning the grammar next week~ Once I can write a sentence or two in Na'vi, I'd love to trade letters. I have a whole box of stationary that I've been waiting to use  ;D
