Welcome!  :)

What brought you the idea of helping to translate ReactOS in Na'vi exactly? What do you like in this language?

Wakoyantanke, you are the most bravest person I know, including Jake. Jake was warrior, thus fighted. But you are attempting to translate a computer operating system to a language used by naturally living people, who already succesfully proved that they don't like any sort of modern technology. :)

Brave people who do things alone are foolish people, I prefer Teamplay better because it suits lazy people like me better.   :)  Luckily I found a couple of teamplayers pretty quick in this forum.  Hopefully there will be more teamplayers...

Translator @ReactOS looking for 5-10 Na'vi translators, anybody interested?

That's why it might be incorrect of me to list myself as a "ReactOS - Na'vi translator" because I don't know a single word of Na'vi.  I just listed it there to make an example of how my fellow Teamplayers could write their [Avatar id] for future tracing and verification of who worked on what translation files and when.

I just play my part of the role and you the Na'vi linguists stand for discussions of the correct words and interpretations.
When things gets approved by ReactOS and the translation work process gets rolling then I can teach you Na'vi people how to do things without my help.  So you can be self sufficient when contributing translation code to ReactOS in the future.

Welcome!  :)

What brought you the idea of helping to translate ReactOS in Na'vi exactly? What do you like in this language?

Fly 1: More efficient translation work process
I was trying to translate a minority language (Swedish) on ReactOS, I was practically alone when learning this work process.  Work on this language had already been done since ages ago but things weren't completely finished.  So I thought that things could be organized better for this work process.

Fly 2: ReactOS needs more PR
ReactOS only have around 30-35 developers, they need hundreds more developers to build this Windows NT clone operating system.  Which is equivalent to building an entire real life city from scratch.
Being the first operating system in the world to support Na'vi language would attract the eyes from programmers from the entire world.

Fly 3: Na'vi is hotter than Klingon
At first before I learned how to send in a Swedish translation patch, to the open source ReactOS svn tree trunk.  I found the idea of translating Klingon to ReactOS as an amusing idea.  But it turned out that Linux was the very first operating system to ever support Klingon.  I don't like being in second place so Na'vi was a hotter choice for many reasons.

Besides Klingon is spoken in anger Na'vi has a more softer sound which suits my personality better I guess.

Interesting. I hope to be able to help one day, for Na'vi but also ReactOS.  :)
