Massive Context Cloze-Deletions for Pawl's Posts
« on: June 02, 2014, 01:02:58 pm »
UPDATE: I recommend you try Massive Context Bold cards instead. Go here for my post about them: MCBs

I'm trying out a flashcard method called Massive Context Cloze-Deletion Cards, as described here (and his later posts in the series): Let the MCD Revolution Begin!

I've taken Pawl's most recent vocabulary post and turned it into an Anki MCD deck using all of his example sentences. I've included the audio, too. I am providing it here for those who also want to give this method a try.

(I recommend you change the deck options to Order: Show new cards in random order. It didn't seem to export that setting and I don't know why.)

If anyone wants more, let me know, and I'll consider making more decks for Pawl's other posts.

Have fun!

Just remember that being able to produce a word doesn't guarantee that you'll be able to recall it. So make sure you have cards going in both direction (L1->Na'vi and Na'vi->L1). Also, if you had enough exposure to the language, you probably wouldn't need production cards at all. Though it's harder to get enough exposure with Na'vi.
