Omatikayaä is correct. If noun ends with a, ä, e, i or ì, it gets -yä suffix, but if ends with "ya" syllable, it gets only -ä suffix.
I'd like to see a quote from Dr. Frommer supporting that.

Interesting speculation...

*investigates*

EDIT: consider a noun like fpìlfya or lì'fya, which only has the regular -yä suffix.  Maybe it only occurs to proper names...

Yes, you are right, probably my grammar copy is outdated, changes occured during the time.... But Omatikayaä is considered to be an exception, I think it is still true

I was searching high and low for the confirmation… Thanks to wm.annis, I found it again. It’s HERE

Quote from: Frommer, March 2010
One more inconsistency:

For bases in -a, the gen. was -yä in 3 cases (tompayä, Eywayä, tìska'ayä), but there was also Omatikayaä. I feel comfortable leaving that last word alone, as an exceptional form: *Omatikayayä doesn't seem stable--I can see yayä > yaä.

Fixed that in NP8.
Added sìlpey and ätxäle as modal verbs, is that correct?

Hmmm...Sìlpey doesn't seem right to me. I thought the modal verbs were verbs that were followed by other verbs with the subjunctive. With sìlpey, tsnì is what gives the verbs followed by sìlpey the subjunctive.

Sìlpey and ätxäle si are indeed not modal. However, tsnì is not the cause of the subjunctive in the verbs following. In his most recent blog post, Dr. Frommer writes:

Quote
Set srefey oe tsnì tsampongu tätxaw maw txon’ong.
‘I’m currently expecting the war party back after nightfall.’

So the reason is actually that all examples of tsnì up until now also use optative mood, which is the real cause for the subjunctive infix.

A general rule I have followed for modal verbs:
S Min Vin
S Min Vtr O-it
S Mtr Vin
S-ìl Mtr Vtr O-it
Tirea told me many many times that you don't use -l with new and another verb. Now I'm confused.
...and to add onto this confusion, lu fì'u amip :P I suspect new may actually be intransitive, slä nìngay oe ke omum.

Basically, if it's by a number in Na'vi, it's an octal/Na'vi (base 8) number.  Otherwise the number is interpreted as decimal/'Rrtan (base 10).

maybe better is to diferentiate base 8/ base10 numbers by 0 prefix (I don't know how to write º), as used by programmers (srane, oe lu hapxì feyä  :))
01 Na'vi(base 8 ) => 1 (base 10) 'aw
010 => 8 vol
012 => 10 volaw
020 => 16 mevol
0100 => 64 zam
etc.

ALT+0186 in Windows (ALT+0176 if you're so strict about the degree sign being used instead :P)

Wow, these are really good! Some of the words are kinda hard to guess, but I suppose difficulty is a part of a learning process :P Thank you fore these, they really are a boost for learning!
