`Eylan Ayfalulukanä

Nìtxan Txantsan Nang!!!!!!

I am a HUGE Lion King fan. Irayo Nitxan!! for doing this, Le`Eylan. This is indeed one of the best things I have seen translated into Na`vi, and it is a perfect story for translating. I can't wait (no, not to be King!) to see how you finish this. I will undoubtedly print it out and read it over and over.

TLK was my #2 favorite film, but was recently eclipsed when I saw 'Avatar' for the seventh time (seen TLK six times, but will undoubtedly see it again, as it is periodically re-released). I have also seen the Broadway show six times, and will see it again either in December or next April. So that certainly makes it my favorite story after Narnia.

I will sing or speak any male lion part except Scar. I can also sing the Zulu chant in the main/end title, as well as some of the other Zulu in both the film and the show. I can also do an effective, authentic lion roar, and I can and do roar with the 'pride' next door!

Oe sìlpey ngaru lu lun atxantsan a peng pelun ngal ke terok tì'eoiot fìrewon.
Scar- Ma Zazu! Nga teykul oeyä syuveru. ... (1) Now, I'm not sure with that. Do we need tha vocative whenever we call a person? I'd say yes, but others might be of a different opinion. (2) If I remember correctly, Scar has a mouse, kefyak? Why not use vey then?
Zazu- HRH! Pxaya ayu tayul ftu nga tengkrr Olo'eyktan zaya'u.
Poan sti na Toruk luke sneyä smar.
Scar- uhh... Oe txopu si NÌTXAN.
Zazu- KEHE ma SCAR, rä'ä nìn oet nìtsafya... SRUNG! ... Interesting question, whether the exclamation »Help« in Na'vi is the same... Could also be srung sivi, tìng srung oer or something like that

8. Mufasa- Ma Scar!
Scar- sran?
Mufasa- Poanit/pot lonu. ... if it's to be »release him!«
Zazu- Nga zera'u mì hrr atxantsan, ma Olo'eyktan.

Oe zamene tswiva'... ... "I must have forgotten", IIRC, maybe Oe tswama' nìlaw/nìngay will do the trick, although I'm not sure whether the sarcasm comes through :D

9. Zazu- Tsa'u ke lu kea lun! Na Olo'eyktanä tsmukan, nga frakrr leru 'awve!

Scar- Oel (zene?) tskxekeng sivi oeyä tìskepekur! ... because of si-construction
Mufasa- Oìsss!  ngeyä txalit oene rä'ä mìn! ... I changed the position of rä'ä here because of the recent posts about ke from the workshop. I take it that rä'ä needs to stick as closely as possible to the verb. Not sure about transitivity here, is mìn a transitive verb?
Scar- Kehe ma Mufasa. Slä kxawm ngal ke mivìn NGEYÄ txalit oene.
Mufasa- Längu tsa'u fpeio, srak?

Zazu- Tsahey, pelun?
Scar- Tse, oel eromum futa oer tolìng eltut, slä txur ke lu oer.

10. Zazu- Längu 'awpo mì frasoaia ma 'eylan. pum amune mì fum oeyä. ... this is a tricky one ... "there are two (of those) in mine (i.e. my family)" ... two pum's in one sentence that refer to different words? Don't know if that's possible. Otherwise you can just use soaia again, I presume
Ulte ayfol frakrr ska'a sì'eoiot...
Mufasa- Pehem sivi oe poanhu?
Zazu- Poan lasyu txantsana tìhahawä tseng. ... not sure about the ‹asy› here... I thought this was used for the personal intention of the speaker
Mufasa- Ma Zazu!
Zazu- Fpivìl teri tsakem! Tengkrr poan tsewtx lirvu, ngal tsun mivunge poanit wrrpa ulte yur poanit! ... lirvu again because of tengkrr

to be continued...

Hope, this is helpful... ;) and I didn't wear you down with this. You're doing a fantastic job here and I love the project!!! Mivakto nìzawnong!

Is there something compiled with the most recent (edited by Tsm. Plumps) text juxtaposed to the original? I'm happy to to look at it, but my brain is not wrapped around where all the pieces and parts are well enough to find and assemble them into what I should be reviewing. Nìkeftxo...
