I'm thinking we should get some voice-actors together for this and make an audiobook version. WTB someone that sounds like James Earl Jones!

Kayrìlien

I'm pretty sure I was just thinking the same thing so...yea...I'll help :D

Tsufätu Ayioangä

Ok, so I want to spin off of this idea and actually make the soundtrack for it (and maybe music videos?) But I don't want to do it without the permision or help of you guys.

If any one is interested in doing the voices, please PM me!

Like I said, my normal speaking voice isn't too far from Matthew Broderick's. (Whether that's a good thing or not is open for interpretation.) So, it's not hard for me to do Simba impersonations.

Jenny, you still want to voice Nala?

Hey!  Any one who sounds remotely close to Matty is amazing!  SO assuming Le'eylan is cool with this, we can start casting.  I've downloaded all of the video for LK1 already :D

Cast (In Order of Spealing Appearence)
Singer:
Scar:
Zazu:
Mufasa:
Simba(Young):
Sarabi:
Gopher:
Nala(Young):
Sarafina: Aykerusey

Other Charaters:
Hyeneas:
Nala (Old): Le'eylan
Simba (Old): Kayrilin
Timone:
Pumba:
Lionesses:
Rifiki:

If you guys can change your voice and are itnerested in playing multiple parts that's great!  If you two also want to play the kids as well as the adults that's great too.  If Le'eylan is cool with it, I may post another thread?

Le'eylan

I'm still not quite sure what you guys are talking about, but start a new thread and you can explain it more there...  :)

M'kay, so I decided not to listen to me Government, English or Biotech teacher today and I began working on translating the songs.  It's hard work, but fun :D I only have one done so far but I'm working on the rest.

(Disclaimer: I am not the best at translating.  The only other translating work I have done was on the Midsummer Knight's Dream project and even that wasn't a lot.  Also, I was focused on rhyming and flow so my grammar and syntax might be off.  I do appreciate critique and correction, but please don't yell at me.  Also, this is in no way contradicting Le'Eylan because I can guarentee she is far better then i when it comes to speaking/translating/understanding/writing Na'vi.)

... yeah, I could probably sing that.  I need to check the rhythms again and see how it all matches up.  I just tried saying it now, and it SEEMS correct.  I'd want someone to review that when they get a chance.

Something that I'd want to note is it may sometimes sound phonetically incorrect if I sing it, but I'll try my best to make sure I sing it right.  Pitch, IMO, matters most here.

I did this all from basic musical memory but I'm gonna try it with the karaoke and maybe do a quick recording for general flow.

Eyamsiyu

Ah, oki.  Whatever makes it work, you know. ;)  And it's like anything in art: it's all about practice.  Rehearse it a few times, and so on.

Tell me how it goes, and how well it fits compared to the original.  Once you have that, send me the notes on what you noticed, and maybe what you want to do with certain lines (here or through my e-mail is fine).  From there, I'll rehearse it some within the practice time I have within the day, and see where it goes from there.

'Ivong Na'vi!!

Hakuna Matata translated. Hopefully singable. Hopefully grammaticality correct.

Also edited Ìheyu Tìreyä a bit and I think it's possible to sing it now.

Awesome!  I'll take a look at them and see how they flow witht he other songs I've done.

Le'eylan

Ok, so there's a few minor errors in the text which I know of, and I'm about to change them.
But before I go through that process I wanted to ask if there's anyone who can and have the time to
take a look at the text?
It would be very helpful, and appreciated.

Even if you only do a few pictures, or just one, I would be this happy.
