Not yet deciphered languages

This looks like an interesting challenge.  I wonder how anyone would decipher a language in this state of documentation or lesser.  Since there are missing details about its structure, it appears to me to be largely untranslated. 

There is a good deal of speculation and theory online, while probably very close to a good understanding, there is much uncertainty in the way it is discussed either as a precaution, or true uncertainty.
