Why is Na`vi so addicting?

I am posting this question here, as it is more general than most Na`vi-specific questions.

Why is it that Na`vi is so addicting. We have recently seen a number of active users have to back out because they got over-involved (Taronyu, Tirea Aean, `Oma Tirea). While none of these uers have disappeared, they have all admitted that they got carried away with Na`vi, and had to back off.

Has this happened with other conlangs?

Is there something we, as a community can do to keep learning Na`vi enjoyable without becoming a source of burnout?

One thing that drew me to the language is how well-structured it is compared to most other conlangs.  Also my first imperssion of this amazing language was that it was a real, natural language.

I'm not sure that would happen with any other language, not even Klingon.  They may be constructed, but IMHO not as well as Na'vi.  Plus I don't feel as good or deep a connection to the worlds other constructed languages bring.

Probably one thing we can do is realize our understanding of the language is really solid.  I'm almost certain it has happened with Taronyu.  As for me and T.A., we want to stay in touch with the community as well as life.  It's not always easy, but at the same time not impossible.  Maybe some of us are like that whereas others have more to life than this language community.

Notice in particular two of the top people who had to pull away are also people who provided a lot of help and guidance for others.  The same sorts of bonds of society and group responsibility that keep MMORPG leaders in the game perhaps a bit longer than they should be seem to be in play here.  But this sociality operates on everyone to a certain degree.

Language may be what brings people in at first, but it's the people that keep people here.  Since I consider humans interacting with other humans completely natural and healthy, I wouldn't call this an addiction, but a time management problem. :)

I would like to also point out that this "addictive" quality could have much to do with the type of people attracted to the language and not the language itself.

For those of us familiar with people of a more...academic bent, we've all seen this tendency toward a certain singleness of focus before, and although with age comes experience, that either makes them better able to manage their time (as wm.annis pointed out) or makes them become even more singularly focused.  We've all had "that professor" who tends to bring up one aspect of culture or one pet theory over and over and over again, am I right? ;D
