Okay, I received this from Markì and he speaks a lot of truth.

Hi Markì!
I was just curious as to how to go about creating the MotW badge? Any help would be appreciated. Again, sorry for pestering you.

To have one show up by the name and avatar would require creating a whole new forum membergroup. I would prefer to see if this idea gets sufficient traction before doing that.

It's fine, we shall have to prove that this is worthy of a badge.

Yayo.

Maybe first just a banner for the signature?

I've been wondering the same thing.

There was some decent discussion about it for a while, but it seems to have died. :(

It's the same as the Maths&Stats board.

Nearly nobody comes here. :'(

Question: What is the difference between a scientist ( cuz this is in the science section ) and a mathematician? And why Mathemactician of the Week, just why?

A Mathematician focuses completely on math. They're still scientists but focus on a specific field.

I don't know how MotW came up, but if it gains traction, I'm all for it.

Okay! The MotW signature banner is done! This will serve as a temporary means until we get an actual forum-group made.

Could we get the raw BBCode for this, for the sake of convenience rutxe?  It's been done in the other forum.  Remember to use the [ nobbc ] tag.

Okay.
Since the intended MotW that I notified hasn't responded since I sent the message nearly three weeks ago, I've decided to select a new one. Hopefully, their post will be up soon.

Okay. After a long and perilous selection method (i.e. I couldn't find anyone), we have our very first Mathematician of the Week! *Cheers*
