Just getting into minecraft
« on: June 20, 2012, 12:33:57 am »
So, I finally broke down and got minecraft. Silly me, now I'll never have time for Na'vi. ;)

However, I did create a minecraft Na'vi skin if anyone wants to use it.

You can get the skin here: http://i.imgur.com/Ssvyr.png

I can't wait for 1.3, I've been testing out one of the snapshots, the best thing to do is find an NPC village and build a base there, and keep building, you'll eventually spawn Iron Golems.  I've been playing on my original 1.3 beta save file.  I'd love to see another multiplayer server go up after 1.3 is released, keep me informed.  I'm much more PvE oriented.

We'll definitely get a new server up here when 1.3 comes it.

Ohoho, maybe we could make a Na'vi adventure server?
I mean, with the new Adventure Mode upcoming, that would be so awesome!

Adventure makes it to where you can't break blocks, I'm still very much survival oriented.  I wonder how much interest we can drum up.  I've worked with worldguard and most the other essentials, I am very much oriented to the legit style of play, no spawning.  my original map I have a rail network that runs out to 5000 on the x axis, I've been out to over 9000 on the same axis, LOL, right now on my map I'm at like -3000x, by like 4000z....cause the old chunks were generated before any of the new stuff has been out, so I tend to be quite a traveler, I also have a good amount of experience with building nether networks.

I know it does, that's what I was going for. ;) Maybe we could make a Na'vi Custom Adventure Map... :/ Already planning it out in my head.

Nice traveling, I'm more of building an creating instead, maybe because I'm not very good at surviving in the open Minecraft world. Instead, I play survival mode in a custom map with all sorts of tiny islands you have to get to in order to get ores and such.

I like playing Island survival, or play that on an ocean biome.  I really like the idea of floating mountains, that really tests your parkour skills.  For the most part I am a mole....some of the servers I was on I rarely came above ground, I have it made...find an NPC village, build a stream going down to an underground base, and start building a massive underground hub.  Or do what I'm doing on a NPC village and working my way down to layer 12 :)...I'm only at like 54, but it already is a 3 tier village, I think I'm close to spawning 3 iron golems now, which means 48 villagers, I am having an issue with them not populating one side, but that may be fixed eventually if I keep building.  I found the one I'm working on in the desert, next to a Jungle and Taiga Biome, been filling in the river and expanding on the first underground layer....can't tell you how much sandstone I've used in the buildings.

I've seen some killer map seeds now that the max height is 256, we could see alot of variety in terms of huge mountains...cause think about it, mountains on Pandora would be bigger due to less gravity.  I always love to tarzan jump off of a long cliff into a nice ocean or river....just hope there is enough water below :P
