Multiple Tram Systems

...are not really much to do with the actual topic. Well, TRAM systems seem to dominate the landscape of the LearnNa'vi Art Server. So, about 1/2 - 1 month ago, I started my own TRAM system with the 'Pandora' station, then 'Wilderness', then 'Oceanfront' (soon to launch out into a location I deemed "Anthripon"), 'Valley', and then went waaaay south to 'Southern' station, which has a long distance run above the clouds, with no supports yet. I'm going to then build 'Annex', and then a few more that spread out across the Mappable Spawn area. What I have so far?

Red Line = Track
Red Dot = Station
Glowing Red Ling = Underground / Underwater
Red Dot with White Dot Glow = Projected Station

I'll be working more on this and will soon have it all uniform, so keep watch.

Looks great!
About the old tram lines ruining some landscape... I'm on a track now way of the map, walking forward for about three hours and the track doesn't end... I saw some glass spheres over the track about half the way I went (a shpere in a shpere in a shpere etc.). I will walk on some time to see whether this track ends somewhere or whether it's just "stacked" all the way.

Okay... I've found the end of the tram line, close to a stargate made by SeaBass called -newworld-.
Might I suggest regenerating the entire tram line? I'll leave a small mark next to the stargate so that when needed, the line can be rebuild...

Annex Station (attachment) - it's now connected to Southern station, and the whole segment has been changed to a gold-block powered system. I'm building up to Eastern, then when I hit Pandora, I'm going to swap out all to the cobblestone design I started recently.

I hope you don't mind that I put up fences around the tracks at the Annex station like you did on Southern and that I put up signs...

Nah, I don't mind. It's uniform and not in the way, so all's good.

I was just thinking: What about an undersea-tram station between Annex and Ocean, at the corner around the spawn.
There is an old underseatunnel there so that could fit perfectly...

That will take a little extra, but yeah, that sounds like a good idea.

Have you purposely made the tracks in the North-East part of the map out of bricks or do you intent to change that later?
As I'm open for helping people, I could renew the tracks if you want (including the removal of powered rails and torches and placing gold beneath the tracks).

The bricks were the first design, but I liked the cobblestone style more. I'm going to work up from Eastern Station (It's now built, with a stone path leading out a ways) to connect to Pandora, then I'll start converting it to cobblestone and with Wilderness and Oceanfront, demolish and rebuild to the uniform style.

I've connected Annex and Eastern Station for you along the line you left.

Someone in my soaia switched off the internet yesterday when I was about to start renewing Wilderness station.
So I guess I have to do that today...
As of the moment I'm typing this, I'm starting up Minecraft... :D Getting a little addicted.

Yeah, I got Eastern and Pandora connected yesterday, so it's all 1 incomplete network now. All I need to do is set the tracks and 3 rows of cobblestone/glowstone and then I'll start restoring up towards Valley station.

As soon as I'm able to connect to the server (>:() I will help you renovate the brick tracks...

The downside is slopes, because to get the structural design, it takes twice as much per distance, so up to Valley should be somewhat easy, but towards Wilderness and Oceanfront, it's going to need complete rebuilding.

Love the work you've done so far.  Also, feel free to tie into the original subway system I built.  My system was built in a very similar manner to yours, with the exception that I tried to make rather complex stations (only made one, and it stopped working due to minecraft updates).  I think it would be awesome if all the subway lines were all part of the same system.  The only thing I would suggest changing is to make the incoming track into the station terminate in such a way that it would be impossible for the cart to go backwards back onto the line.  Could be as simple as making the track stop a block early or add an actual drop off/ pit for the cart to land in, or you could go a tad bit crazy like I did and do all kinds of fancy stuff...

The tracks between Eastern and Pandora are now finished.
Wilderness and Pandora station are updated. (I left the stairs and the glowstone spiral for you to finish at Wilderness (you really don't want me doing that :-[) )
I'm now heading towards Valley, updating the tracks along the way.
Valley is done and the tracks between Valley and Pandora as well.
Now going to Oceanfront to find out what whe got to do there.

For Oceanfront - try to leave the incomplete open end. That's going to be a NewWorld-type project if I ever get to it.

I also suggest to the busy builders (an everyone who wants to) to try using some of the features from CraftBook. ;)

Originally, I was going to just have the rail-less block to land on, but that shoved the minecart into nearby bricks and you had to destroy an area to get it out. The drop-off will probably be put in instead.
