To give some life to this thread again, I've made a Metro-style map of how the lines will look when finished. (Following your plans.)
I've used it myself sometimes and I thought why not share it with the brain behind the lines.

Looks about right. OpenGL in Minecraft has been updated to a couple of versions past my video card, so I'm no longer able to launch it past the login screen. Though the pattern and stuff is still easily remembered, I'll be working towards getting a new computer all together. Then, I should be able to do something with it.

Bump II.

Got Northern (Formerly MOUNTAIN) Station Build, connected to Valley Station. Going to go build the 4-way station and then branch them all out.

There was a lot of damage done between pandora and valley station (I thought, it was those two, not sure). Tracks were missing, and so were parts of the cobblestone. Repaired that.

Other thing I did was removing the new stopping system because they kept shoving me into the floor of the station.

Yeah, deciding on a stopping system that's not bulky is hard to do. Both ways already shoved the players into the floor.

Nah, right now, I'd rather have a Cobalt gift code. ;D I already bought Minecraft.

However, I didn't mention it I think, but I've started on Central Station using some of the original tracks which run below the village towards Ocean Station.

Perfect- Because Ocean Station has the structure built, and the new underwater portion includes neat effects hiding sponge under the tracks.

I made some adjustments at Central Station, the closed off portion will go to Ocean instead, and the part already there can go to either Eastern or Annex.

I haven't closed off any tracks in Ocean Station's direction? ???
Only the tracks towards the other side are closed...
WRONG!

Oops, I made a mistake indeed. The signs are correct now.

Central and Ocean stations are now connected, and I added the top of Ocean Station. Next I'm going to get Western built, and connect them all.

Well, The Central-Annex is now built, and the only thing left to do with Central is swap out the Moss Stone to Cobblestone in the entrances, and open a new track in Platform 1 (See attached picture). So, we're more/less halfway done now. I'm not sure the differences in past maps, but this is what I plan the layoutish to be:
