Now that 1.8 is out, is pandora going to get a new seed so the new features are incorporated?  If so, I suggest -967953670617520619.  Massive mountains, ravines, great caves and more.

Actually, I think perhaps a whole new server should be created? I don't know how hard it is to make one, but I think it would be nice to have a change of scenery. And as of update 1.8 a lot of new features have been added that are... lost on the old server. Such as strongholds and ravines.

Anyway, perhaps a poll should be made?  :)

They are not lost, but because we have explored so much, you'd have to go very far to find one...

why not take down lists of what people have, then give the same amount of items to them on the new seed?  creations could be copied in extreme cases as well

I found a ravine on Pandora.  I'm roughly 1500 away from the center of the map, didn't take that long to get out here.

Has there been any disscussion of a new server possibly being created to take advantage of the new features?

I think it was decided that they weren't going to, simply because there was alot of stuff on the current server and they weren't gonna move it all

I propose a large automatic mob tower be created on the server so that all may benefit.  As making one takes a crapton of time, can one of the ops help with this? Or op me if they are busy.(I will be good!)  also, watch for harebare, he is a new player who steals from people.

FYI: There are no ops on that server...

PvP is allowed, right? why don't you just kill him over and over again till he just leaves?

PvP is indeed allowed.  Its a true survival server, where some players are more dangerous to you than a creeper going ssssssss  ;)

Compare:
Please notice that cooldan1220 and zombie41 are griefers and thieves active on the creative server and should be banned.
I wondered who those players are, before. They refused to tell who they are on repetitive querying, but did not acted in a bad manner when I watched them. Melteds was present around that time couple of days ago.

I both banned them: “unknown player, refuses to identify”

More unknown players: ChaosWarden, baconboy90, ...

I noticed unknown players on the pandora server too, has anyone an idea who those are:
beefcake0205, psutan, malatach, harebare, Sir_Greyelm, Pioruin, ...

The non PvP server is awesome. Now if I could find my house again...  :-\

And someone suggested a new server. That would be a good idea, in my opinion. But keep the old server and make it more of a showing off kind of thing, or make it a creative server, something like that. Also, if a new server was made (I know itd cost money, most likely), then it should be made like the ImDeity server, with a resources world for mining and a building world for houses. Except all houses are in a few certain areas, and you cant have it outside those. The areas would have huge walls around them. Based on HellsGate.

If you actually read all that, then I thank you.

I just updated Pandora to the final 1.0 release.

Note:
I did notice that the world generation has changed slightly, its pretty noticeable when you enter unexplored areas, the boundary between old and new doesn't line up right...
