Somewhat awesome project idea.
« on: June 19, 2011, 07:56:14 pm »
I've been playing Metro 2033 a fair bit lately and I thought of an epic project to build in minecraft.

Build an entire subway system beneath a post apocalyptic ruined city.

But that isn't the whole plan.

You might know about how the yogscast (I think) did a series where they did an RP in minecraft.

That's what I'm thinking to do with this if I start it (And finish it!)

With a few mods & a custom texture pact (and some other helpful things) I think I could set a really awesome story in what would be a dark and gloomy world.

Any thoughts?

Well, if you'll be doing this on the creative server we'll need a decent planning and a place far from other places where people built stuff, and if you'd do this on the pvp server we'd need a massive amount of iron, gold, redstone, and materials.

I think I'll rig it up on a private one if I do it just because it means I can play around with various mods to get the desired effect.

Sure, I was gunna propose if we'd do it on the creative server we could connect those subways with the current old ones, so we could give those a renewal.
But if you'd do it on a private server, no problem for me. :)
