My Minecraft Launcher (solves the problem of updating)
« on: April 22, 2011, 09:29:19 pm »
I made a Minecraft launcher app that lets you upgrade/downgrade your Minecraft install.
It's pretty simple to use, and it includes 1.0_01, 1.2_02, 1.3_01, 1.4_01 and 1.5_01.
Download is here. Extract to %appdata%\.minecraft and run launcher.exe.
Windows only, might work under Wine.
Screenshots soon.

Tried it and it works as advertised :)

I always wondered what the old versions of MC were like. I started playing a few weeks ago with beta 1.3_01. Need to try playing online at some point...
2010 was the year of the Na'vi.Vivar 'ivong Na'vi!

I'll add support in the next version of the program to add versions from a package, and try and find some old Indev/Infdev versions and put them up as packages for it.
I'll put this and the packages on akiwiguy.skxawng.lu and I'll post here when I'm done.

Okay this is useful because I have been wanting to have a proper go at infdev.

don't suppose you could get indev and classic as well?
Only mostly AWOL.

Classic won't work with this in its current state, and would take a bit of code to get working, however if you know VB.NET you can download the source and modify it yourself...

I couldn't find indev before, but I'll keep looking.
