My Minecraft Launcher (solves the problem of updating)

I made a Minecraft launcher app that lets you upgrade/downgrade your Minecraft install.
It's pretty simple to use, and it includes 1.0_01, 1.2_02, 1.3_01, 1.4_01 and 1.5_01.
Download is here. Extract to %appdata%\.minecraft and run launcher.exe.
Windows only, might work under Wine.
Screenshots soon.

Tried it and it works as advertised :)

I always wondered what the old versions of MC were like. I started playing a few weeks ago with beta 1.3_01. Need to try playing online at some point...

I'll add support in the next version of the program to add versions from a package, and try and find some old Indev/Infdev versions and put them up as packages for it.
I'll put this and the packages on akiwiguy.skxawng.lu and I'll post here when I'm done.

Okay this is useful because I have been wanting to have a proper go at infdev.

don't suppose you could get indev and classic as well?
Only mostly AWOL.

Classic won't work with this in its current state, and would take a bit of code to get working, however if you know VB.NET you can download the source and modify it yourself...

I couldn't find indev before, but I'll keep looking.
