The upload size limit was a blessing!  I'd left too much "construction debris" in the media file from the time of my original building.  That has been cleaned up and the original deck spit into two.

These are based on a deck that Omängum Fra'uiti had put up and to which I'd wanted to add illustrations (a picture is worth 1000 words!).

I have also received permission from Eltu Lefngap (Seed of Language) to post my conversions of his lessons to Anki format.  Those will come later.

I am putting these up primarily for use on iPhone and iPod Touch.  You will need to purchase this application from iTunes and I give it my whole hearted endorsement.  The Anki desktop version for ALL platforms is free.  Damien Elmes, the author of all of them, has been absolutely and wonderfully amazing in his response to my persistent questioning.

The media files will always be in a "zipped" format.  Firstly because that makes them small enough to post here and secondly because they must be to be loaded onto the mobile devices.  The other file is the deck itself.  BOTH MUST be places in the Anki folder which will appear in the Documents folder once you have installed Anki Desktop (on a Mac; there must be similar "folders" under PC and Linux systems).

I have found that even simply moving these files into that folder may not be sufficient to get them to appear in the Anki Desktop program's selection screen once the program starts.  To overcome that, again on a Mac, I simply start Anki by double clicking on the Anki file I want to appear.

PS, to be used in the Desktop program, you must unzip the zipped files!

Interesting, the .anki files are just sqlite databases.

Often the way with these files, they are just renamed versions of a common format.

Anything on Android that can read them? :)

Re:  SQLite - doesn't surprise me in the least really.  When one looks at what Damien Elmes has done with his Anki software, he certainly had to have used something usable by all of the systems he's written for.

Compared to you and he I am truly an Eltu lefngap skxawng!!

And, btw, your program for the iPhone is beautiful!

Please, do look at the Anki website.  Damien does mention something for Android.  Since I don't have one of those (yet???) I didn't pay close attention to it.
