Ok.  Quick question here.  What format do the Samsung phones use?  I can upgrade my phone for free if I get a Samsung Flight.  And it's red too!

I do not know the answer to that, however you should know that the Learn Na'vi Mobile App is only available for iPhone and Android phones right now.

Ok so I need to find out if the Samsung Phones can use the Android format because I know they can't use the iPhone format.
Dang iPhone would cost me $300 for the 4G.  $80 for the 3G.  Might be worth it though.

Samsung is a manufacturer that makes lots of different phones.  Some of them (Like the Epic or Galaxy) are Android based.  Others (Such as the Flight) are not, and will likely never see a Learn Na'vi app.

So the Epic or the Galaxy would run the Android app?
Ok.  I'll look at those then.

If you're specifically looking for Android phones, you can find a fairly complete list of what's out there at http://www.google.com/phone/

I'd recommend filtering it by phones that are "with Google" to get a phone that has not been as badly molested by the manufacturer, but any phone on the list will be able to run the LN Android app.

Ok.  I got a Motorola Backflip.  It's Android capable, has a real keyboard, has GPS and has wifi capabilities.  I'm thrilled.

And best of all, when I answer the phone, it won't call my voicemail.

Eh, you picked one of the few phones that it's not easy to install the LN app on right now. (At least not until it hits the market.)  It's not impossible but it takes a bit of work.  http://theandroidsite.com/2010/03/11/how-to-install-non-market-apps-on-your-motorola-backflip/ gives instructions, but if you hang tight for a couple weeks it will hopefully be market ready by then.

I was planning to wait for the actual Android app to come out.  The phone won't be here til around the middle of next week anyway, so I don't have it yet.  I can wait for the app.  I just want the app when it comes out and I want to have a phone that can get GPS and not call my voicemail when I put it to my ear.   ;D

The backflip is the phone I have as well...  Though at this point mine is heavily modified with unofficial patches, but when I started the app I was testing it partly on a straight unaltered backflip.

Unfortunately it's not a phone I'd recommend if someone wants an Android phone, but it's not a bad phone.

Well everything else was ridiculously expensive.
And after my issues with my LG Vu, I really didn't want a phone that was just a touchscreen.
Although I did consider the iPhone, it was about $50 more and that was for the 3GS so it was an older phone, not the newest model.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to my new phone.
