Is the mobile app not updating? The latest vocab isn't there yet.

Agreed that it is still not updating.  It's been close to a week since the last download.  I'm still at 162-685.

Oeru txoa livu, I wasn't getting any notifications of activity so I completely missed the updates on this thread.  I just checked into the lack of updates, and so far I believe its an issue upstream from the mobile app update system.  The update process checks the last modified date on this file http://eanaeltu.learnnavi.org/dicts/NaviData.sql and will only update if it sees it has changed.  The current last-modified date of the file is Fri, 01 Mar 2013 09:00:02 GMT.  I'll discuss this further with those maintaining the dictionary system.

You have me to unreliably notify you via IRC. :)

I raised this in the Eana Eltu thread in General Projects/Resources, because it's also affecting the vrrtepcli updates (ok, there's other issues there atm too) as well as updating memrise.  There's apparently a problem with the new -nay suffix entry which is causing one of the scripts to bomb out.

That's exactly the problem. Some missing fields that are my bad. The problem is fixed the the .SQL is updated now.

Moo.

Maybe there wasn't enough changes to warrant a push of a new list.  But the 12.93 dictionary version changes did not come through.
Perhaps mysql needs another friendly nudge again?

Currently on word list version 162-692 on two different devices.

"Ketsran" hasn't arrived yet...

In this instance, patience is the issue.  The mobile app database gets rebuilt every night at midnight EDT.  The upstream SQL file that provides the data is only rebuilt once a day, in this case it looks like 0600 EDT.  I manually ran the update process and it picked up the changes just fine, so nothing is broken, it just takes up to 48 hours for changes made upstream to make their way through the system to the mobile app.

I will try changing the cron to run the sql pull at 11:00pm EDT so that the file is ready before your mobile app scripts run. That should knock off some delay.
I'll also do a dry create run to change the modified date of the file so your script will pick it up.

lol. it's in my dropbox workspace. ;D

Actually, I think the Google Code version has all the latest cool stuff. I committed there before installing git on my machine. The Google Code version is basically the good ol 0.7.1 but with the extra part of speech filters and I think some menu consistency stuff and maybe something else like rotation locking. It doesn't have the tablet layout thingy I think.

I should really get around to using github..

Yeah, you really shouldn't be using the Google Code repo anymore, especially since it isn't linked to the GitHub repo, so any changes made to it won't get propagated over.

True. But remember I made those commits several months ago. I'm not sure I was aware at the time of the existing GitHub. *shrug* I haven't used the Google repo since then and don't plan to. :)

Is it just me, or is the Android app not updating?  I committed some changes to the dictionary a few days ago, but the word list hasn't updated yet.
