I was thinking about how to effectively text message in Na'vi.  There is obviously an issue when it comes to the characters "ì" and "ä".  Would it be too confusing for the Na'vi text messager to use these substitutions?

ì = : (colon)
ä = @

For example, Kaltxì would become Kaltx:

Thoguhts?

hì'ia tuté

I'm not sure what kind of phone you have, but my LG Android touch screen slider can do the ì é ä. If you press and hold the letter, on either the touch screen keyboard or the qwerty keyboard, options will appear with different accents over the letters to choose from.
